I know this is off topic, but...

I dont know about the rest of you, but every single day I am getting pestered by my wife asking what I want for christmas. To be honest, I have not got a clue... I guess I am not the only one.

So in the interest of all us people without a clue, can some of those who do have some bright ideas, or know of some cool gadgets, post some ideas here.

I will start the ball rolling with a remote control helicopter...

A few weeks ago I got a hummingbird radio control helicopter as a gift from SPS engines.. little did I realise how little these cost (£140 ready to fly with remote control gear) and how addictively cool they are.... However.. Now I have one, I have no need for another one.. so that idea is out of the window! lol

You never know, some of you may have some 944 related ideas, so if so, we may even get this thread back on topic[:D]

Sadly enough, while way out of my age range, I can't escape from the need for quality of sound in the car.

And as such, i've been looking at powered subs...... The Zep may never sound the same again. And all for around £125,some skinned fingers running some wires, and some funny shaking head looks from passers by.

I'm hoping for a new bodyshell for my 1/5th R/C racecar maybe another GT2 Shell or GT3R shell not sure yet a bit expensive for a bit of moulded plastic £125 but it worth it when it done and sprayed up.

Fen,

Get a HummingbirdV4, they are about £139, come ready to fly, are about 2 feet long, come with propper radio gear.

Buy a set of training legs for it at about £15

Expect to do nothing but crash it to start with, but it will not get wrecked if you behave with it (dont try to fly it right away, try to hover) as they just bounce off of things.... I have even flown mine into the leather furniture several times and not even left a mark.

Do a search on video.google.com for "hummingbird" "heli" and you will see some videos of people flying them... at this time of year if the wife isnt looking you can fly them indoors, even in a small room!!

Most fun I have had in years!

Just buy a couple of extra battery packs, as they take an hour to charge, and go flat in about 10 mins...

Keep the ideas comming guys... The pressure is on from my missus... she hasnt got many shopping days left and is quite annoyed that she didnt buy me a rc heli years ago! [:D]

how about a 1/18th radio control car like a RC18B with brushless and 3 cell LiPoly batteries good for about 90mph and 0-60 in 1.5seconds for something which is no bigger than my foot. Brilliant fun and can go just about anywhere

Assuming you have a PC, how about a steering wheel and a copy of GTLegends/rFactor - then you can join us for a bit of simracing on the Pistonheads server [;)]

second the steering wheel / GTL (racing 60 & 70's saloons and coupes)

Weather station, Ive always fancied one (with wind as well as temp, humidity) but other presents always seem more important.

Fancy coffee machine - if you like cappuccino etc and dont have one at work.

He is such an adult now that he's a daddy. He'll soon be debating if brier is over rated as a material for making pipes. [:D][:D]

997 turbo, my favorite gadget available anywhere to date (excluding the harrier jump jet). I would settle for a Garardo also though for the engine note alone.

GT Legends with a steering wheel is brilliant I would certainly recommend it one of the best games i've ever played I would say (as you can tell I don't play that many games even though I am only a youngster)
