oulton rs day 16th march confirmed

Riveriam002, i have cargraphic NGT setup - headers, 100 cell race cats, cargraphic cans on my 993 and it records ~105db but I had bought a set of aux mufflers from Merlin at castle combe ~ÂŁ60 each side and had my local blacksmith in Gloucester fabricate a set of cones that enable me to bolt them on in place of the tips (ÂŁ50 for the fabrication). Then when I get to a noise unfriendly circuit, I unbolt the cargrahic chrome tips bolt on the cans and hey presto 98db :)

Many of you will have seen my car (midnight blue, 350BHp bonkers belton conversion) with the cans on at PCGB track days - they look like the exhaust tips from thunderbird II but do the business

HTH

John

P.S. about to book on Oulton.

I have booked, hope it is OK with you RS guys if a std 993 turns up (well std apart from a few Belton goodies to level the playing field with you RS guys ;-)

Would love to come on the chinese if you have a spare space!

See you there

John

John, us 993 boys get enough stick about beards and horse brasses without you having yours fettled by your local blacksmith...class [:D]

where do you get your Poirsche (west country spelling) serviced if not your local blacksmith?

That's all we got in Gloucestershire.........oh arrrrr oh arrrr

John -your gonna have to change your surname!![;)]

Nice to know the local smithy can still fix cars............[:D]

Ok I'm booked.

Any final decision yet on whether Chinese is Thursday or Friday night or both?!

Another 993 rs and 964 rs clubsport booked today, one conflicting issue though,
on the Easy Track website it says Oulton is 105dcb limit, however on the paperwork
that you are required to download once a booking online is confirmed, the noise level
states 106dcb for Oulton, anybody know the correct noise level?? this is critical as I'm borderline recording 106dcb on the last visit, and are the noise tests random at this
event or mandatory for each participating car?

Usually 105db and all cars tested, I was told when being tested press clutch pedal and rev to less than told, not something that I'd ever do of course[;)]
