Sounds similar to my issue, where rest of functionality works but not DAB /FM, taking car back to my main Porsche agent in Guildford who fitted it for the third time to resolve!Tried the CAN - AMP switch over via the Volume advanced menu. No joy. Actually switching to AMP causes AM signal and the illumination on the buttons on the head unit to cut off.
I also have what seems to be be a weird issue. When the car is stationery everything is fine but when in motion DAB / FM / AM all seem to struggle keeping a consistent signal and the output sound fades in and out.
It doesn’t seem to be related with the location / driving path. Rest of the functionality of the pccm plus unit seems to be operational as expected. Recently acquired 996 2004 with BOSE (CD Changer and AMP in front trunk)
Any suggestions/checks ? Read a thread about the wrong connections and loop back in the antenna piece etc.
Wanted to see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue before I start dismantling things…
Thanks

I am keen to upgrade to a PCCM+ for my 2003 996 Turbo. However I have a customer ivory interior/dashboard, so my question is can it be supplied with a unit surround in any other colour than black?
Thanks for any advice.

I think they only come in black. I suppose you could get a paint shop to colour match and paint it the same colour.I am keen to upgrade to a PCCM+ for my 2003 996 Turbo. Hi, pls could you share more about this? I have the same car and would prefer single din version… thanks in advanceI’ve had the PCCM single DIN unit fitted, looks more in keeping with my 996 C4 that is 25yrs old, everything works as it should and a great upgrade
I had the separate box for the usb connectors installed just under the dash as per pictures above. I could never understand why it’s recommended to have the box installed in the cubby….. as this takes up valuable space and you have to drill a hole in the back of the cubby, so if ever reversed you will have a hole. This position I have chosen doesn’t hinder leg room at all.
Ever seen what happens to loose content inside a car in the event of an accident?I had the separate box for the usb connectors installed just under the dash as per pictures above. Phones or other devices in the cubby hole are not secure.
No need to touch them once connected to PCCM- so put them in the glovebox out of harms way.
Just my view .

Great idea except in 1999 996 there is no glove box…..Phones or other devices in the cubby hole are not secure.
