If anybody wants to stay at Neil and Annes, can someone take over as booking co-ordinator? I've booked the whole place at the mo but looks like numbers will be down this year -I know Charles won't want to slum it!! [
To be fair to them, they will need to know final numbers before the event
PS C u Monday!!
As an event, yes it is a great time. Some lovely, varied cars from early air cooled right up to the latest and greatest. Loads of 996/7 cups with people turning up with the most amazing entourage of gear.
Having said that, if you are going because you want track time, it isn't that great. Realising that you and Paul race etc so you may not be that bothered about the track time. I've been twice, both times with the RSR.
First time was a real experience, very much enjoyed it.
Second time was a bit frustrating as wanted to spend more time on the circuit. Partly my own fault admittedly as the Friday was very wet and there were people in the category I was in who were driving beyond their abilities in the weather and consequently taking themselves and more worryingly others out in various collisions. Didn't really fancy that........surprisingly.
Overtaking allowed, everywhere and anywhere so they are pretty liberal which is a good thing.
Spent two days at Spa with RMA last year which was an open pit lane deal and suited what I wanted much better.
Definitely should be done at least once though - it is a great couple of days with a good crowd of people.

Hope to make it.
Ben that is oddly how Paul and I met , at a Spa track day about 14 years ago when we both had 64 RS to play with . I used to put 4 slicks on wheels inside my car and we did Spa and the Ring .

Thanks Guys so go but without cars then , I agree we should go but to transport cars all the way may not be ideal but the when you go to race I guess you get 45 mins practice and two hour races on the weekend .
Hope to make it.

It's sessioned Pete with one hour sessions, but just treat it as open pit for the session -give those 996 and 997 Cups a run for their money!![]

Agreed Melv.
As it happens, I am planning a little "teamwork" in the Porsche Club Championship and my efforts may well be better invested in all the UK circuits I ought to know much much better ....
Also, the Abbeville trip will use a very high percentage of my annual mileage allowance in the N-GT, unless I trailer it ??
And whilst I like to keep cars standard, it is becoming very expensive in brakes [&:]
I fully appreciate Melv that I am not supposed to use them ... [:-]
Hunter that sounds frabulous, we have back up with Speedservice www.speedservice.nl they know their stuff ... has a very interesting 993[

So we need to know who needs storage at the track in a F1 box and who wants to use the box for access to the track. You need this for Fun and Sport as the track lane gets very busy. For Race everyone has a box so no problem accessing from track lane. Petrol available at the track and so are Michelin tyres.
So lets get some commitment for F1 spaces?
