see what your mean, have not looked into the mod enough and don't even know what it would cost?
the only thing I know is the car before the cracked cylinder happened after most of the mods I listed that I did alone along with a top end rebuild felt like an absolute animal after 3000 rpm and set at 18psi, and sure did feel like more than 320bhp. Not saying it deffinately is but id put money on its more , as even John Mitchel asked what the he'll id done to it as he was worried on how fast it had turnt out with all his products. I did do a bit of port polishing to the head but it must be a mixture of everything. He also told me how a r1 struggled to keep up in fourth gear when it seemed he was giving him a tease whilst testing the chips and new brain in the car along with the AFM he'd just set up.
i know a supermotorbike and a car are no match as the bike would blitz most everything on the road but his words not mine, and I assume John floored it in 4th with maybe the bike not expecting it and in a high gear ???
What i I do know is i had a bit of fun with a friends m3 and thats got 350 bhp and he couldn't keep up with me so it has to be more than 320 , I also did the same with a m5 that was trying to humiliate me at the lights revving and it was close but I passed it also . I had this conversation with John Mitchell and he said the even though the m5 had something like 450 most cars on the road will struggle to make my car seem slower becuase of the amount of torque that it now has with all his products and chipset it he did me, and he had a lot to do with the way the torque is now delivered aling with the gearing, but I will have to wait until I get the car set up from the wizard and the cars on the road and nicely run in before I put in on a rolling road which I can't wait see what it's really doing but I've always worried that it would do damage putting it through too much strain, but maybe I watch too much YouTube?

Daniel, as Paul said I have a larger turbo (Lindsey super 61 sport), it's not too big, but big enough to never run out of puff for my setup, it can push a good 200 extra ponies at 1 bar than what I'm asking off it now or ever likely to. I counter the extra lag with the EBC duty cycle settings.

i didnt realize you had that turbo? I suppose it's yet another thing to consider now once the time and funds allow, to get it running at the power I'd like from it which is most realistically 400 lb of torque would be my ideal target and if that relates to 340bhp then it won't bother me, as it's the torque that I most enjoy.
First things first for for me and that's to get it all built up and running good and that would probably make me the happiest at the moment, the power mods that may follow are just bonuses and not important the reliability really is and alwa has been my upmost want out of it. When this happened after all the money and sweat I put into it, it really did and has hit me like a tone of bricks! As it's so bloody expensive to do a full rebuild on this engine and time consuming when you have a day job, espeacially when your doing all the work yourself.
Well see guys, hopefully I can get her ready for a meet next year in summer and get to meet some of you In person.
all the best

You're probably not a million miles away from me using Serdi so if I can help I will, alas my days of wielding spanners though are growing short, the minds willing but the body I suspect has had too much punishment from working on cars in my spare time and modelling/engineering for long hours in film/TV when I was still working...I see my son today showing signs of struggling and he does it as a day job?...working on cars is certainly not good for your health, that's for sure...
