Porsche Goodwill - Fall Out Starting?

My experience (with my poorly built 2003 Boxster) is that the OPCs (only 2 to date I admit) are not really that interested in warrantee work to the extent that problems still exist with mine but it is a waste of my time trying to get them sorted. The OPC tend to 'lose' my the deatils of my problems.

Shame really because such a great car should have great service backup

Surely if it fails more than once per annum, the first repair has some sort of warranty with it, therefore the second repair should be free? Or is there no warranty with OPC work?

If you read this on the 996 Forum i think you can see that even if there is a fault within 1 year the OPC DO NOT cover the work!! That is just totally out of order!

"I had a very confusing discussion on the phone with my OPC where they banged on about putting in a goodwill claim to Porsche and I said something along the lines of 'but the RMS you put in hasnt even lasted 12 months so its got nothing to do with Porsche its down to your own guarantee of your firms work'.

This didnt register at the OPC end of the phone, they seemed too keen to tell me the goodwill claim would be 'rubber stamped' by Porsche due to the low mileage since the last RMS 'fix'

Now out in the real world I always thought that if I bought something (whatever it was) then it was the responsibility of the retailer to sell me something that was of 'merchantable quality' and this included any subsequent repair work. Why do AFN (oops what a give away!) think I am interested in the internal crap around the Porsche empire about who pays for what. In my opinion its up to the OPC to sort it out and any rubbish about going back to the manafacturer is just a sideshow. "
