Porsche-only trackday at Brands Hatch - Nov 30th

There is a Porsche-only trackday being held at Brands Hatch on Friday 30th November. This would be a great event to attend for people interested in a user-friendly trackday being organised by one of the best in the country: MSV. It would also be a good opportunity for to have a nice Christmas meal afterwards at a nearby restaurant/pub! Please indicate if you would be interested in the meal so we can look into a suitable/nearby venue based on numbers.

Brands Indy is an excellent venue for people relatively new to trackdays, and MSV instructors are on hand to offer excellent tuition. Apart from learning the circuit, you will also be able to learn the racing line, braking zones, throttle modulation/handling control, and any other specifics depending on your experience.

There is a group booking discount being offered which was organised by Sundeep/911uk which we can tag onto to benefit. There are already at least 6 people or so on the list at the time of writing this, and I believe it will also be advertised as part of a GT Purely Porsche event. Post here if you sign up!

Ade - I'm desparate to do Brands GP but not so sure how just the indy course will compare?

Problem is Notts to Brands is quite some way if weather is rubbish (30th Nov!).

How does indy/gp compare REALLY for a non track novice?

I'll be there.
Will give them a call now.

Top man! Would you also be interested in having dinner afterwards? We are looking into a couple of venues and would just like to get a rough idea of how many places to book.

The GP circuit is my fave circuit in the UK. It seems perfectly paced for the RS/GT3 with the back section allowing you to carry significant speed letting you work the car in a different manner.

The Indy circuit appears simple and is straightforward for any novice to drive - instruction is always recommended. But for an intermediate/advanced trackday driver, it is also very technical and presents itself as a circuit with no straights, continually varying camber, and a variety of different race lines through the same bends (eg, Clearways). It challenges the advanced driver by forcing continuous adjustment, whereas the GP circuit really flows through the back section.

For a novice, the Indy is easier simply because average speeds are lower than that experienced on the GP circuit and it is easier to familiarise yourself with the short circuit.

Whichever, Brands is a brilliant venue with excellent facilities. Come on down!

Nope, just book it under your own name (phone them, do not book online), and you MUST quote "911uk" when booking.
