Porsche-only trackday at Brands Hatch - Nov 30th

ORIGINAL: silver7

I will do it, have just left them message - is there an line booking system?

Don't book online! You must call them to secure the place and discount. It looks like we should be able to get the 15 required... if so, we'll get free garages AND passengers are free!

Unfortunatly I will no longer have my Porsche by this date, but is it ok if I can get time off to come along and take some photo's?

Ditto... I'd love to do Brands again (only done it on bikes)... but I too am now Porscheless.... ::sob::

Will pop along to watch though if work permitts.

Cheers

Paul

Silver7 - great news.

Do we have free garages/passengers yet?

Top man! Would you also be interested in having dinner afterwards? We are looking into a couple of venues and would just like to get a rough idea of how many places to book.

Dinner afterwards sounds good to me.
Just waiting for Nick to call me back and then I'm booked.

As posted earlier will be there with my boys afternoon, but have booked Full Brands GP for the next Thursday 27th all day....if anyone is brave enough to want a passenger ride then feel free to bring your helmet and look out for the Minty Green ..............[:D]

See you there old chap.... Would love a pax lap with you if possible.

I'll bring some teabags.

If everyone is going for drinks or food afterwards, I would be interested. Be great to meet everyone

Looking at the list of cars (GT3's,..) - its looks like I'm (986) going to be relegated to "Safety Car" status ! Anyone with a 996 that needs running in to lend me!!

Adrien, this sounds great. I have recently bought a 993C2 and am new to PCGB, albeit for some reason I am showing up as a non member.

I called MSV to enquire and then made a call to their recommended insurance company who quoted £235'ish with an excess of £2500. Since my current insurance does not include track days are there any other options as this seems too expensive (more than the track day itself)?
I am new to track days (well new on 4 wheels) apart from one at Bedford Aerodrome a few years back in a Bentley Arnage T - Interesting!
I would imagine many of you have it as part of your insurance in which case I will have to wait to my renewal date next July (although I would rather not)Somehow I dont think Admiral will entertain the idea if I ask them now!!

Since we are on the subject, I had a chat with Kish a few monents ago, will there be any trips in 08 to the Nurburgring and/or Spa?

any suggestions/advice from anyone would be great, thanks.

Seb

I will be going along as an observer and to take photos. Is there any chance of a very, very gentle session for a complete coward? Perhaps whilst practising to be a safety car? As a passenger, of course.

If you want me to try to be a safety car [and I would not be insured for a track day] I would be happy to try to help - I would need to be told the rules and expect everyone to keep out of my way when I am acting in that fashion!!. Otherwise marshalling [subject to a bit of training] - and I do have a full first aid kit in my car, not that anyone would need to use it.
