Porsche Spotting

Lovely white 944 Lux at the lights on the A50 heading North from Stoke last night and then a brown one on the northbound M6 this morning.

Dead common those 944s.......[:D]

Saw three 944s on my trip to the southcoast today.

A Titanium Turbo or S2 H... XAM heading south on the A34 near Winchester and a red E plate Turbo or S2 also heading south a few minutes later.

Also saw a gorgeous Baltic Blue Turbo with brand new glistening paintwork at a bodyshop in Ferndown [:)]

Sounds like a fine day out to me!

Saw a nice dark blue 944 S2 (I think) going the opposite way to me this afternoon near Culcheth.

I was in the turbo, so we exchanged flashes and waves...[:D]

A white 944 Lux with 928 'disk' alloys making stately progress in the inside lane of the northbound M6 between J18 & 19 this morning...

... and then a gold S2 or Turbo turning off the A5 later the same morning, just opposite the Cat plant[:D]

Only me spotting 944s?.....[8|]

I'll add two; a light metallic green (?) with cookie cutters 944 in Poulton-Le-Fylde yesterday. I only caught a glimpse but it looked like a 2.5.

Also, a white 944 Turbo on Saturday with 18" Cup 3s in Blackpool on Bristol Avenue.

Ah welcome Wigeon - have seen your posts on Pistonheads.

You're not too far from me, have to meet up for a beer sometime & compare cars [:D]

Nice black S2 in Glasgow last Thursday. Parked up just off Junction 16 - M8 in an industrial estate.

Tut tut. I covered over 1000miles this weekend and didn't see 1 other 944!

Sounds like good news though Paul! When's the big day?

Thanks!

A meet up would be good, I was just looking in the Forthcoming Events thread and the Frontrunners meet on the 6th of April looks like something I'll try to attend (although I'll be slightly ashamed of my rust bubbles that won't be sorted until the end of April).

I'd better sort out my PCGB membership too!

Matt.

Spotted a white S2 on the A43 between Towcester and Northampton today. Had an A944 plate, nice [:)]

Nice to see you on here Wigeon, Frontrunners should be a good turnout this year. All rust bubbles are welcome and will be politely not discussed or pointed at :ROFLMAO:

Ah yes, that'll be the one without the lovely anodized Racers Edge top mounts...

..yet[:D]

Nick, you too can be like me, all the gear and no idea[:D][:D][:D][:D]

Well I need something to aspire to...![:D]

Have sourced some front brake ducts from Porsch-apart - they weren't fitted to the last turbos apparently. Have you fitted the 968 'ears' ( bat wings?) to your front wishbones/struts. Apparently only the last few 944s had the 968 wishbones?

Cheers

Nick,

I have 968 arms, with the ears to fit, just not done it yet. But my car was not fitted with the 968 arms
as standard, I also have 15mm longer ball joints to correct geometry changes when lowered.

White 924 on the M25 yesterday (Tuesday) Driving at 50 mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and slowing the traffic down BIG time!! Turned off at the Enfield junction. As did I !!! []
Gold coloured 944 heading south on the M11 Tuesday afternoon.
