Project 3.0 930

That must be a very satisfying result after all your efforts..... now you can investigate it's full potential.
Take care though - I'm not sure that it's the pearly gates you'll be going through if it's on fire and backwards!

i've been very slack keeping this thread updated!

since 'completing' the rebuild the following has been going on:
bottom of both doors started to bubble to back to the bodyshop to have those done (again)
after running it for a bit checked all the torques and found a head stud had stripped the thread in case so top end stripped down and an insert fitted
suspension rebuilt using all new shocks, bushes, drop links, ball joints, control arm bearings,
bump steer kit and poly bronze spring plates fited
car rewired to chase some electrical gremilns
and periscopes fitted!

still a few things left to do, get gauges overhauled, fit proper tombstone sets (which i have now found, just need to re-cover), and replace some of the little bits of solver trim in the cabin.

thinking of finding some 15" wheels too to complete the look which will require finding some smaller brakes.

Nice to see another widow maker on the road.

Following a fire in a nearby building melting an indoor car cover onto my one, just a thousand miles after fitting £12,000 worth of tuning parts, I am seriously thinking about a complete restoration to mine.

The thing is, once mine has been restored, I think I am likely to part with my one, along with some of the other cars in my collection and cut down to one road car and one track car.

So my biggest ponder at the moment is, what is worth more.. Restored and 100% standard, or Restored in its current fire breathing tuned state????

Hi Jon,

I think value wise stock is probably going to be worth more. The 3.0 turbos have been rising in price. There's on ay Gmund for GBP75k which is stock.

But just to contradict myself, there's another one here that sold very quickly for US$175k asking and it had paint and the wrong seats. Original colour and interior and decal combination looked awesome though!

Now that my body restoration is complete, I find myself feeling a little reluctant to drive it in case it gets scratched!!
