At long last, I bought the 3.8 RSR and drove it the following day @ Spa... What a car! BTW, I saw two very nice cars while at H&S: a red 3.8 RSR built from a cup car and a yellow wide-body 3.6 RS...

Good luck with that beauty, talking to Tom last week he told me u bought it ,u at Spa in May ???

Thanks Vic. Yes, will be at Spa on the 24th and during the PCF days the weekend before.

See you there. What will you drive? I heard rumours...

Hi Phil, I hope you enjoy it and will see you at Spa on the 24th. The trackday toy I recently bought myself came from the same owner who had yours. I'll hopefully have it at Spa, but not 100% sure yet, as I'm having some work done first to tidy the paint and wheels, etc.

Paul, is it the yellow beast then?

Someone threatened me with ÂŁ125k, but not turned up with cash yet, so have nt had to make the decision, no real base to rumours other than that ....................just rolled into another car this morning, so maybe 1k less till the paints done, amazing how good Armourfends been, saved a lot of grief and where its been NOT A SINGLE CHIP...............few scratches now though .................hope to be there both Autotrack days and go the duration !!

Yes Phil its a Speed Yellow 993 RS Clubsport. It's been raced and was converted to what the Germans call GT2 Look. I personally find this description a bit strange because the side skirts and arch extensions that get fitted to a narrow body car are different and actually a copy of the very very rare 993 RSR Cup (about 35 ish made). However it is currently fitted with GT2 combined rear engine cover / spoiler as apposed to the RSR Cup's steel engine cover with Clubsport wing.

I'm inclined to fit the proper engine cover and clubsport wing to make it a more accurate copy of the RSR Cup, as the car is fitted with full Cup suspension and Cup spec engine. In addition to this it has a 120 litre FIA FT3 safety fuel cell with quick fill, OMP electric operation twin fire-extinguishers (fully plumbed to engine bay and cabin). The brakes are awesome with 380 mm floating disks and huge calipers.

Phil, Paul

Sounds like you boys have got some very nice toys indeed, look forward to seeing them at SPA (and a ride if possible [:)] ).

Paul - any pics of your car?

Regards

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for the info earlier. Is that the car you recently went to pick up from germany you told me about? sounds bl***y awesome hopefully I will get to see it soon on a track day.

This is one very nice 3.8 RSR! Had a good look at it on Friday and put my name on the list if it ever comes up for sale ;O)

I doubt it will but at least I am sharing a garage with it at SPA for the 3 PCSF days in May.

This is a different league to your RS road cars. 245 & 305 slicks and 375bhp to play with.

I am very jealous( apart from the trailering it around bit!)

Looking forward to a fast lap or 2 at Spa.

Charles

Are there going to be any trackdayers left in UK 24/25 May?? [;)]

C u all there......

Ain't no prob with trailering, Charles -aircon, music, power steering, peace and quiet(ish....) [:D]

melv,

Point taken but winching it in and out of the garage to wash is a chore. Engine can't be fired up for short spells it seems.

Wash it Charles????? [:D]

Why can't the engine be run-up?

I am told that firing up the engine for short spells would foul the plugs...

In this picture, my car is the only white Porsche.
