Off to Knockhill tomorrow for some practice.

Nice action photos of the RSR

Hey Phil -that's Kumho Ferrari-Porsche racing at Zandvoort -my car raced there in '98. Two firsts and a second.

So our cars have met before!![:D]

If u look at the website they came from, look for green and yellow Cup Car running 3.8 rear wing, number 56.

I'd better bring the F40 as well as the RS and we will see who's king ;O)

Melv,

Looking at those results above PhilRS 's car will take some catching. The + are faster qualifying lap and * fastest race lap.

I will have 2 former owners of my car at Spa. Thomas says he is coming over!

Can't wait. If you need any new MCPs 225/45 for £75 then let me know? Just bagged a brace for Spa.

To me, the most impressive difference between the 964 RS and the RSR is the chassis. The RSR engine is stronger, but the precision of the chassis (245 and 305 front and rear help) is something else altogether. Would anyone know about the comparative 'cup (964 and 993), RSR, and GT2 laptimes around Spa with proper race drivers?

Best lap in a GT2 at the 1996 24hr race was 2:32:988
Not sure about the rest and couldn't come up with any good searches

Some comparative laptimes at Spa...

'93 Spa 24 Hours: Roock Racing 3.8 RSR, fastest qualifying lap (Fittipaldi, Jarier, Alzen): 2.38,34
'92 Porsche Carrera Cup: Carrera Cup, fastest lap (Duez): 2.41,13 (this is really impressive, in my view)

For comparison:
'05 Belcar: 996 GT2 R, fastest lap (Bouvy, Menten): 2.21,373
'04 PCGB Open: 935, fastest lap (Chamberlin): 2.28,571
'05 Belcar: 996 GT3 RSR, fastest lap (Moro, Kaufmann): 2.29,839
'05 Belcar: 996 GT3 Supercup, fastest lap (Van Rossem, Haane): 2.37,739

Do you know what your times are roughly?
I'm heading there for the first time in July! Zolder was the one I did all the time when I lived in Belgium
