R5 Members' Cars Picture Thread

Nick,
All the tyres I have had which have a "V" pattern in the tread seem to point forward at the road contact when fitted outside to outside.Don't know how people can get it wrong anyway.Great news about your sister! Will be in touch about next Saturday.[:)]

Nick

Odd because the tread pattern as shown would look like water would be thrown/pulled inwards when going forward ie from outer groove in to inner narrow point

What tyres are they?

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - they have an marking for the inner sidewall, but that's it - ie no directional arrows on the outer face.

They grip really well in the wet, so something's working....

Fair comment

Unusual tyre pattern would have expected it to look like this when facing forward

or this

Though that only works on one side!

(Unless they do different tyres Left & Right)

Cheers!

Yes, that's how they look on the driver's side (offside) but obviously different on the nearside...[&:]

They work great and look even better, IMHO and very reasonable from Camskill Tyres...[:D]

Very nice, hope to see the car at some meetings/shows.

Good to see some more pics on this thread fellas [:)]

Dave, I know what you mean. I usually like to take the 964 on weekend runs but in the hope of good weather it would be silly not to make use of the boxster with its top down. And you need to get that SC on track soon if that's what you bought it for [;)]
