Hi folks, just to let you all know that we have moved the date for this year (and possibly in future to avoid clashing with other mid summer events) as it clashed with Silverstone classic, so yes it is confirmed that it will be held on Sunday the 21st of September[:D].

Further updates will follow.

Cheers

Matthew and I will be there on the day Nick. Let me know if there's anything we can do to assist - either on the day or beforehand....

Great news Nick, I can make that, we go away on the 23rd.[:)]

Happy to help out with what ever needs doing beforehand or on the day, see you soon

Right folks, I'm getting the ball rolling now with Raby as its not long now, bird of prey displays are sorted, live music as usual from Nick Bradley, gradually building up a list of traders and we are having the display of all models possible that owners are happy to show people round, let them sit in etc like last year which was a real success and, as usual the great support from John Hawkins and his staff.

As we've moved the date and it doesn't coincide with anything else we should have plenty of interest.

Any further suggestions please don't be shy

thanks[:D]

Hi Nick,

Is the event open to non members? I have just bought my first Porsche (924) and would love to attend. I live in Hebburn, South Tyneside.

Best regards, Barry.

No. You must be a member!!!!

Only joking Barry, the more the merrier, and once you meet us all you will probably want to join any way [:D]

Barry,

Come along it would be great to see you, and your motor. You can sign up for club membership then if you're intersted. Before Raby you could pop along to our monthly meetings held at the Dunn Cow Bournemoor near Houghton le spring on the second wednesday of every month. Next one is 10th September and promises to be a good night with a slide show from our trips to Le Mans Classic and Silverstone earlier in the summer.

Can I start this posting by saying AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!

To say my enthusiasm for this years Raby Castle is waining is an understatement! During the last two days I have had all but two of the traders who said they would attend, cancel, and one of those two is looking iffy!!

The only members coming forward for the show and shine are the good old regulars, thanks guys, there must be other people out there who want to get involved.

I don't know whether its the credit crunch (or whatever you want to call it) thats affecting people this year but those of you who help me annually with this event, John Hawkins and his team and I end up putting a lot of time into this and I'm afraid that this year we might not have a lot to show for it []!!

I'm trying to attract a few more traders but with less than a month left I don't hold out much hope, anway fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!

Well I wouldnt normally join in something like show & shine, but if your down on numbers, I'll put the 928 in. Are there any other 928s on here?

Cheers Simon, there are very few 928s in our region (that we see anyway) so would be good to have you join in[:D]

thanks again

I would love to help you out with the show and shine but I have already promised my motor to Moira for her display - but I'm happy to go wherever the need is greatest !
Come on all you 'country members' of R3 - give Nick the support he deserves !
Cancel everything else you might have thought of doing on 21/9 - this is what we are supposed to be in the Club for !

Chris

Nick - like Chris, I promised my car to Moira for her display but will be happy to put the car wherever you feel the need is greatest.
If I can do anything to assist with organisation or 'putting up' stuff, just give me a call. Happy to do what I can.

Thanks lads your offers are really appreciated but we will leave you cars in Moiras setup as thats probably going to be one of the main attractions on the day. Really we only want cars in the show and shine that want to be there if you know what I mean, no good just making up the numbers!! Plus we don't want to make it to easy for Martin this year [:D][:D]!!

Hi Nick,

I know what it's like trying to get members to join in, so if you are short of cars, let me know as I'm sure I can get a few of the TIPEC North East members to turn up. There are usually a few of us turn up anyway and just park with the "other" cars.
I might even be able to get you another 928!

Simon Poole
TIPEC North East RO

I HEARD THAT!!

The only way I'm going to win is if nobody else turns up.

Come on guys, if you have a half decent car slap some pollish on it and bring it along. You've got as good a chance as anyone of getting a prize. Don't think our cars look like the ones in the concours at the National Event. I assure you they do not!
It's just a bit of fun and friendly rivalry.
