Re-think on colours following talks

ORIGINAL: Alex L

Actually, my OPC had a used Cobalt Turbo in the showroom that was sold in under 3 days - so they can't say that it's not an in-demand colour!

Oh yes they can and will[]

Enjoy the car, Cobalt Blue is a fab colour. if Gary was to forc me to buy the turbo i can't afford it would be one of Cobalt/Grey leather or Bassalt/Sand beige or GT Silver/Terracottta.

enjoy the car

I have a whole unopened zymol porsche pack from when I got my C2S Cab. I am planning on asking the OPC to apply some for me when my Turbo gets here in Dec

Looks like I will get a Nov build date and delivery in Dec - so will be not too far behind you :)

mmmm, so my prediction at the start was correct then...?

Not everyone wants to take delivery at that time of year as a month later they can call it a 2008 car...
Same happend to myself, heck I collected the car and enjoyed it for the extra month [:D].
The Christmas markets were on in Germany so we thoroughly enjoyed them.

I'd still ask them to keep it & register on January the 1st, for the sake of waiting a couple of weeks it will (whatever anyone tells you to the contrary) add to the value a little come re-sale, which you said was important, it will be an 08 car rather than an 07 car, a whole year younger

!!!!!!!

Nah, each day extra I have to wait is torture.

Also, I am putting a personalized plate on the car so it's not like the 08 plate is going to be obvious.

Come resale (probably back to the OPC) I doubt they will differentiate between 2007 and 2008, just that it's an MY08 car, how many months old it is, how many miles on the clock, and how many paint chips and scratches!

Alex, it makes about £200 difference [;)] so just think about Grant with his car sat at the OPC whilst your out in yours...
Still shaking my head in disbelief at that, although I do know someone else who did it on here...[&:]

Mind you he's got a GT3, so can't go out in the wet anyhow [;)]

I was told £200 but thats now, in 5-6 years it will be nothing and as you say more on condition and mileage (for which bit I'm knackered[:(])

one or 2years down the line late 07 or early 08 no difference to opc still only worth what they wont to give you, so enjoy the car asap, you dont knows whats round the corner-( 997 turbo)
