Also read good recommendations about the use of Rain-X on your windows that make the rain roll off.....I may try this.
Interested to see if anyone has done the retro fit of the rear wiper though.

Hello everyone,
My 997.1 does not have a rear windscreen wiper. Has anyone retro fitted one of these to their car please?

Have known one or two who've had them removed for aesthetic reasons!!
On the whole I've found it unnecessary and just use RainX - as soon as you get moving with any speed the rain soon clears. One useful tip I picked up was to always reverse into a parking space. I tend to do this anyway but it does mean that if the car gets rained on while parked you aren't struggling with visibility when reversing out before it's had chance to clear.
I also like not having to clean around it! []
Had two Audi TT's and a rear wiper is not an option hence RainX was.
(servicing costs higher than Porsche)
