RING VISIT 2006 YOUR IDEAS WANTED

slicks are allowed on the rma day,you can even go to the fuel station down the road on them!
I would hope a rsr would do a 38 around spa on slicks, also probably a prodriver and team.My best time so far in the gt2 was a 2.22,for comparison a,3.2 standard club champs race car will do a 2.53,and a 968CS done a 2.51,both on mich cup tyres.Richard chamberlin,i think can do a 2.09 to 2.12.
also a indicator of how well the grip level has come on in the later cars,a 996 supercup can do a 2.25 +[:)]

Yes, it is impressive to see how composed 996 cups are when they seem to sail past older models (which are at the limit) in fast curves... (no need of a Judgment Day for that [:D]) Hats off to 2.51 in 968 CS (chfs911, this is your target [;)])... Your 2.22 in GT2 is impressive. With the RSR, I have lapped in ~2.48 (with passenger). Marc Duez in a 964 cup would have done a 2.38 in the good old days. But it seems just too fast to be true.

a 2.38 in a 64 cup, hmmm, would need to be one pro brave driver,if its possible. Not sure it is with 260 to 300bhp!Could be wrong though.
The 968cs run was a very well driven lap,Chris knows spa well.Shame he binned it the top of orouge ,trying to better a 2.51!All 4 wheels of the ground as he bounced back of the armco!
Any time sub 2.50 is pushing on a bit,and gets harder to reduce it,there after.[;)]
Enjoy xmas.

always brings a smile to my face !

merry xmas chaps !

I think combining this with the 30/31 May Auto trackdays is a winner as a number of people are booked on it already - suggest we try and sure up dates (although I gather the 'Ring opening times aren't published until Feb??) and get some bookings in. I have booked SPA and I gather there aren't that many places left.

Been looking at ferry crossings and Speedferries are doing a Dover to Boulogne return for £50 (car plus upto 4 passengers). I used this last year and the service was excellent.

How do you get 4 in a RS Yoda? ;O)

I'll give the 2.51 a miss in the CS PhilRS! In your car I will do it blindfolded :O)

I reckon under 3 mins is good going in the RS as you don't want to prang it going all out!

Will do a head to head once the M030 and strut brace are fitted to the CS. Should be sorted for Spa in May.(5th-7th)

Charles

Yup, down at Adenau. Understandable in some respects though - my mate Ross hit the wall there hard enough to put himself in Koblenz hospital for several months. (He's more pissed that he missed out experiencing the helicopter ride due to being a little unconscious at the time though...)

Hoping to come along - Spa und der 'Ring ist gut!

Spread the word Mark amongst the Bretheren post on Bogster/Cockster Forum, would love to see a few more Boxsters and Caymen on this trip......
