That pic reminds of the photo Johnnysenna used to post of his car .. Does the Viagra blue make it stay up longer...?

You need to photo shop the jacks out,and vic could be flying with all 4 wheels of the ground. We all know he grows 3 horns when he is behind the wheel.
Great feature by the way

Thks for posting F Man , PH , i thought the journo got it down well with only 1 mistake on weight of Cup Car as i cud see. and subtle correction for his colleague in former GT2/RS article re thickness of screens and rear spoiletr construction...............nice to see the old one still going with all those miles ...........................he drove the lot with some verve .....think he enjoyed it!

Agree Vic, not bad at all, far more accurate than the usual,,we proved the cuppy weight, wonder why they didn't go with that? Also some mention of CS not being available in Polar?..Know of 2 and heard of the third!..no need to go on, it may well be hard for others journos/mags to follow on from this article unless they just quote from the text.

There's mine which is CS in polar silver. Don't know if you count it in...[;)]

The Technical Manual says the the CS wasn't available in the two metallic colours --- obviously wrong [;)]

Cheeky Charles ..............this aint THE ITALIAN JOB...........................Original fac literature [ German or English , even Northern English for u!] 993 Cup Car doors steel ............................

I know which book they used for their article then!

Weight 20kg less than 64Cup due to Alu doors. 1200kg

How much does your weigh as the 64 Cup did not have air jacks except in 93 SC?

i have the original papers , from 1995 claiming 1120 kgs from factory ....................Clubsport put it on the weigh bridge at Bh recently , had just filled tank , carrying 2nd seat and belts [fortunately driversless or add 95kg!] and it actually showed 1180kgs..........dont mean to bang on but think only the 3.8 rsr s had aluminium doors as standard .................mine definitely has nt !

Vic, I was honestly impressed with how light your car was compared with Clubbies that day, couldn't really see where we could strip the 80-100kg out to get down to cup weight. Prefer the steel doors myself, ali is far too much of a liability.

Do you know the value of a pair of ali doors?.....A non standard part on an RS or cup, looking at the potential cost of repair vs added value/reduced lightness adds up to liability to me.

Clearly some will disagree, but then others also fit fibreglass doors, luggage and engine lids for a cheaper lighter alternative.

I AM TOLD OLD '70 s ENGINE COVERS £4K BID

last i heard of alloy doors £5k each??? .....................that was 2 years ago , not ideal for track days that i ve been on lately!
