Rolling chassis for sale (perfect for track car)

ORIGINAL: Hilux

I don't think the engine was shot, I considered putting it into a 968 at one point.

It was, I was at the RR meet the morning after it put a hole in the crank case..............

IIRC it ran lean briefly. I did drive it albeit briefly which is why I went KWV3 and Weltmeister ARB`s - brilliant

I swapped a few mails with him about the engine after he left for NZ, I'm fairly sure he said I could hear the engine run before it came out of the car so I think it was another engine.

Ok.
Im going to throw my hat in the ring on this guess the car game.
My first guess is youve bought the Hartech project 944 turbo.
My second guess is youve bought Nick Appletons old Red Turbo.....
Am i near.????
What do i get if i win.????

Fen's car, I belive is still for sale for the right money, I looked at it a while back. It has had the engine replaced with one from a cup car.

But my guess is Nicks old car, I missed out on it twice now.

No prize today I'm afraid but I went out in and considered both of those, so good guesses[;)]

Ben, will you be keeping the current understated appearance or go for a louder decoration? [:)]

I will be making some alterations to the cars appearance when I get it but I'm afraid the matter of an 'understated appearance' is rather out of my hands on this one[:D]

My guess is that you're pretty warm there Paul, but not for the obvious reason....

No but I heard the refreshing "'thas the one wiv da vw van engine innit" comment from a group of 'enthusiasts' again recently.

Reminds me why I love the understated appeal of this car. A car which will decimate most modern sports cars and keep pace with some supercars when driven in anger and yet even though it is designed and built of the same geneous, unlike the 911 it has no halo of expectation from other enthusiasts, so every victory is a satisfying one. Never the obvious outcome.[;)]

Come on, spill the beans with photo's, the suspense is killing me!! This reminds me of that old joke "How do you keep an idiot in suspense"?! With me being the idiot!

937 FTW.

WTF? [:D] no really I don't get that, is this the idiot thing again?

Well I'm not picking the car up today:( The wait is killing me, the handbrake mechanism has seized while the car was in storage and is being sorted along with its cambelt service before the MOT. The cars been in the garage for a couple of weeks, they're busy so it was due to be done last week but in typical garage style.. it wasn't. So now I really am biting my nails off as I'm leaving for Le Mans classic on Thu and it's this car or go as a passenger in a fiat 500 with the convey of 944s :( :( :( panic and depression are setting in!

OK, I don't know what it is but if past history is anything to go by when you lose interest and sell it for half what it owes you I may buy it [;)][:D].

Porsche 937 was my guess: AKA Porsche 924 Carrera GT (and derivatives). FTW is an internet acronym for 'for the win'.
