ROLLING ROAD DAY - DSAUTOMOTIVES 31st MAY

Any interest in a rolling road day on Saturday 24th May at DS Automotives (previously known as G-Force) in Aylesbury, Bucks.

Cost is on a sliding scale :-

1-5 cars £60 each
5-10 cars £50 each
10-15 cars £45 each
15-20 cars £40 each.

Deposit of 50% due 2 weeks before session and balance by cash or c/card on the day. Subject to getting this off the ground I will ask that deposit is paid directly to DSA so that I do not have to handle money. Organiser gets free run and I would propose that this is somehow shared with participants on the day.

I have the date provisionally held and to take this forward may I have your confirmation of interest by this Friday 2nd May. Happy to let this go wider than just Turbo register, so please pass the word on - but first come, first served.

For details of D S Automotive, please see their website.

Look forward to hearing from you .......

Here is revised running order - I think this takes account of all requests, but let me know if I have got it wrong. Having to copy from my spreadsheet makes it none the easier! I remain hopeful that we will have at least 10 cars. D S Automotives have confirmed that late comers will be welcome, but I will need details by this Friday so that I can set this up with DSA.

cheers Simon

Thanks very much Simon. Will be there for 9.30.

ps. car back to garage this week, will be back for Friday. Did something really stupid... coolant level was bit below min, so topped up with a litre of "ready mixed" blue... only to realise u shouldnt mix colours... doh! so having coolant change just to be sure.

Cueman - see you there.

We all make these mistakes from time to time - best one I heard was a colleague here topping up the coolant in his BMW with oil!

We have now "lost" Shaun as he will not be back from USA on time. So John, Jon and Lincoln move up one in order if they can make it.

My car is being bolted back together now, so still due to pick it up on Friday.

Treated myself over the weekend to a 993 targa as my everyday transport and should pick up next week ...was struck by how easy it was to drive compared to my 930 that tries to kill me each time I put my foot down!!!

Congrats on the new purchase Simon, you'd better not be coming in it on Saturday though! Does it look like your 930 will be together in time?
My problem was a simple fix in the end, the oxygen sensors were playing up, probably got buggered with me running it with no cats for a while. One complete failure and two with intermittent issues, will replace all four to be safe! Paul at Northway took it out for a blast a little while ago, said he was quite impressed with the power, i've no clue what it'll post on Saturday, looking forward to it though!

Spoke to Bob Watson this morning. They confirmed he was happy with the gearbox rebuild and they were in the middle of refitting the engine/gearbox. The engine fueling will be done tomorrow and they gave the ok for me to still pick the car up on Friday morning.....so all subject to last minute mishap then I'll be there in the 930. Hoping to see 500bhp, but all to often these things can not go the way you expect!!!!

Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Cheers Simon

Hi

only just seen this thread, I am tempted but I think I will be changing a cam belt on a 944, although it would be interesting to see how close my car is to the figure of 450bhp that its supposed to come with from the makers.

maybe next time.

J

John

If you are interested please email me - the 944 cambelt can wait, but I doubt you will get a chance to see a group of cars like this together too often.

cheers Simon
