Rolling Road Day for article for 911 & Porsche Mag

I have just had another e mail from Steve Bennett, editor of 911 & Porsche Mag.

He is still very keen to do an article on 944 rolling road day. He would prefer NA and Turbo models for the day.

I tried to drum up some of us for a "Northern Rollers of Truth" but only managed a handfull. I am happy to drive south to do one of these, but am equally happy to organise something up here if people were able to attend. Anyone organising anything down south?? Or any takers for a northern day again.

These are the details from my original posting below.

On the Wirral AKA " The Leisure Peninsular ", resides a DYNO DYNAMICS Rolling Road. This will also measure AFR.

I have just spoken to the guy who was also very helpfull.
Tea and Coffee would be laid on, food could be sorted at extra.

6 to 10 cars = £45 plus VAT
10 plus cars = £40 plus VAT

So any thoughts and anymore numbers if it where on a DD Rolling Road???

Cheers

Lee

Too far North for me just for a Dyno run, do tech9 do open days? could make it a weekend with a run to the evo triangle or similar.

I had a very positive meeting with Gerald Morten of Paramount while we were at the Autosport Show.

They are based in Slough and - most importantly - have Dyno-Dynamics rollers.

I am happy to further this introduction if someone will take on the organising of the event.

Phil at Tech 9 is a friend of mine, I could ask see, but need numbers for original idea first[:D]

Was in Tech 9 a few weeks ago and they had a GORGEOUS 993 GT2 in right hand drive. Unfortunately it was in red or I would have had it[:D][:D][:D]

He has been racing Gallardo's recently so had a race prepped one in the work shop too.

I always enjoy a good Dyno Day. I'll be happy to bring LIL along, she may have a proper free flowing exhaust soon [:)]

Drove past tech9 many times, I was working at John lennon end of last year / start of this but was always too busy to stop,

PS good news on the exhaust Paul!

Hi Paul

Earliest dates I could do would be 12th or 19th Sept, or 3rd Oct. I could check the rolling road on this to find out first. Any dates good for anyone else as a starter for ten?

Cheers

I'd be up for a southern dyno day, hopefully in the next few days I should start to have some extra ponies to measure [;)] My problem is getting a Saturday off may be an issue, but you never know.

Great news Paul re the exhaust, about time too [:D] Hope it's properly track legal though!

Sounds a good idea - Dyno followed by beer, grub, B&B then good driving roads next morning [:)]

Dare I ask if Beetles are invited...?!!!

Engine should be in this week, so once run in and remapped will be up for it.

I'm interested - be good to see if the £'000's I've spent have made any difference at all since last time [8|] [:D]

12th Sept OK for me too, as long as you watercoolers don't mind being blown away (literally!) by my downdraft...?!![;)]

Registering interest ... if I am free on whatever date is chosen, and it happens to be in the south (as opposed to in the north!) I may trundle along ...

This is definitely NORTH. The world does not revolve around the South of the country, you know? You shandy-drinkers!

Ah well. Count me out then, sorry!

(I'll be at home with a nice glass of creme de menthe ... it's what northerners aspire to!)
