Rolling Road Day for article for 911 & Porsche Mag

ORIGINAL: zcacogp

Ah well. Count me out then, sorry!

(I'll be at home with a nice glass of creme de menthe ... it's what northerners aspire to!)

Oli.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I think you mean "it's what northerners perspire to"...?!!

Now go and open your Pino Grigo and eat some aperitifs, you southern person!

Btw, not posted the rear light seal stuff yet, cos it's less a sticky tape and more a long strip of very gooey mastic type stuff on a roll - will need to put it inot plastic bags or something.

Shame its so far north. It would be interesting to see how many horses have died of old age or escaped due to my tinkering before I swap the engine.

Hold on I didnt think it had been decided where it will be yet.

I personnely would prefer a southern location, but maybe we should find somewhere in the midlands as a compromise?

Hi

So are people interested in the 12th Sept???

I have not called the rolling road yet, as I do not want to ring them again and then no one wants to go.

I can make the 12th and a few others have shown interest ( I am sure we could let Nick sneak in with his "beetle" too, we can photo shop your old car in the pics!!!!!)

If we get some ideas of numbers I will carry on making plans for this.

And yes this would ne a NORTHERN RR Day, unless someone comes up with another location.

Ten mins drive from Chester is the location.

Let me know your thoughts

Lee

I'm up for the 12th and hope a lot of other midland/ southern types will make the effort to get up to Chester for the magazine (only 2 hours from Northampton, 3 from London)

Let's make it an overnighter with a nice drive back through Wales on Sunday as Tony suggested

So long as my car is up and running fine I can make it, I live only about 20mins from Chester! Can't confirm until car goes in and gets sorted, maybe Aug 15th I should know.

So I will start a list to see if we can get some cars signed up.
I will ring re dates once we have a few names down.
Copy and paste this list and add your name if you would like to come along.

I will happily check out some accomodation too ( your all welcome to pitch your tents in my garden
and have a barby!!!!)

Right everyone[:D][:D][:D]

I have just spoken to Steve at Dyno Demons re doing this RR Day with 911 & Porsche World coming along for an upcoming article.

He has pecilled the 12th Sept if we can get some numbers along.

It is primarily for 944 N/A and 944 Turbo cars (that is what the mag want for the article), although if there is room, I am sure a few others could squeeze in.

So all we need now are some more 944's[:D][:D][:D]
Roll up roll up get your names down

Any questions drop me a line here or pm

Ok put my name down, I like a good drive anyway...

Re numbers, you could always ask the guys at TIPEC if your short of 944's.

Edd

Will need a deposit a few weeks prior to secure day. I am sure we can ring independantly with credit card to dyno demon. Will cross that bridge once we get more names.

Not wishing to state the obvious but you might get more people if the Dyno was closer to where more people are.

Maybe the date is holding us back, would more people want to attend the last date of 3rd October?

I'm not sure if i can make the date(s) yet, so I am a definite maybe - sorry that doesn't help much does it
Tony

For those who havn't attended one of these days before, these rolling road day's are a superb day out. I'm up for it in principle but still have to get the pass out from the other half and some negotiations are underway (I've already requested a pass out for the previous week as the local is holding a beer festival! so would mean leaving her with the kids for two weekends on the trot). Unfortunately the overnight stop will certainly be out for me, which is a shame as i've driven all over North Wales but not in the 944. Some of the best driving roads in the UK and usually not very busy.

For the thickies amongst us, is Dyno Demons in Chester then?

12th Sept in Chester ... hmmm. Not that likely, but I'll see. Please don't put me on any lists yet-a-while.

Oli.

I'd like to take part in this guys.... especially after looking at their site's top ten.... think i can beat most of those guys...:)
Is there a list to sign up to?

Pete
