Run around Yorkshire

It seems ages since a run out was organised, so I was thinking about organising one. Since we have a small child we limited to the amount of time that can be driven in one go, so I thought it would nice to combine it with a familly friendly picnic.

Initial thoughts are to take in a route around the dales, possibly crossing the Butertubs pass, with its amazing views and stopping in either Pateley Bridge, which is excellent for children with a play ground and wide pleasant grassed area for a picnic, or maybe Bolton Abbey. The decision is based on being able to arrange suitable parking for our cars.

Have not come up with a definite route yet, am hoping to get out this weekend and have a look around, but was think of either Saturday or Sunday 12th/13th August, with a personal preference for the Sunday. (I have not yet checked out what conflicting event may be on that weekend.)

So can I get a quick notion of who would be interested?

Mark.

arrange it for the Sunday then you won't meet the 20+ early Porsches clogging up the same roads on teh Saturday [;)]

What's happening on the Saturday then?? Sounds interesting

Well I think we will go for the Sunday as it suits me, and is probably going to be preferable to more people.

Count Irene and me in on this event. I really like this part of the country
Sunday suits me best

Looking forward to this.

Regards

Adam

Sunday would be good as the DDK will have laid some rubber out on the road on Saturday to make it nice and grippy for you fast chaps to follow up[:D]

Oh and maybe some oil. We have the odd issue with that amongst us. We call it character.[;)]

Lizzie and I should be up for a bit of that.
We are now back online in a fashion i;e the monitor is on a small chest of drawers, P.C on the floor with the keyboard on top of the tower and I am using a paintpot as a seat which is beginning to leave a lid shaped mark on my bum []. Anyone who works at Dulux if you can design a comfier lid for the brilliant white it will be much appreciated [:)]

We will be able to make it on either day.

Regards,

Neil & Lizzie

I should be ok for the Sunday, Mark. Thanks for organising the run out. It seems ages since our drive to Whitby in those snowy conditions. Unfortunately, work just gets in the way sometimes. []

Sunday the 13th sounds very good to me.

Great work Supersport for organising a run out [:)] - are you going to the Vue cinema thing on Friday?

Unfortunately I have to do child care on Friday, but I bring the lad along for a ride and a quick ogle [:D]

Rita and I hope to meet up with you all on the 13th - are you providing the snow?

Are flying up to it on Tuesday - Lappland - would have loved to have taken the car but the ferries were booked up - all those swedes going back home after midsummer hols - its quite close to Arjeplog where they test the cars on the frozen lake!

Me too - I managed to get hold of 3 tickets, so I'm bringing both the kids.

I'll look out for you.
