Hi All,

Some of us from the south of the region are going to meet up at Woolley Edge services( on the M1) at 09h30 prompt to drive in convoy to the start of the run in Boroughbridge.

Anyone intersted in meeting up with us at Woolley is welcome but please let us know so we know who to expect.

See you all on the day, should be a great day out

Regards

I quite fancy a run out and would like to pop along from R3 if thats ok ... where abouts in Boroughbridge are you all meeting and what time?

Cheers Dale

Ok follow the link to find the plans for the day, has the meeting point and the route with maps for those that don't know the area.

Route [This is a word document]

The aim is to stop somewhere for a picnic/lunch but I haven't confirmed the location yet, but will do this over the weekend.

Mark.

Hi Adam
I fancy making one in for the run out on Sunday 13th. Wooley Edge services are just round the corner from me so I will see you there at 9-30am.

Best regards
Graham

I have finalised the route and stopping off points:

Sunday 13th August

1. Start boroughbridge 10.00 - 10.30 (Leaving at 10.30) See the map, meet in the car park off the roundabout on the river, vaguely the middle of the map.

2. Head out to Masham, Layburn, Reeth, Muker.

3. Cross over the Buttertubs pass.

4. Picnic lunch in the grounds of the Stone House Hotel (www.stonehousehotel.co.uk) at the end of the pass. (They are happy for us to use their car park, grounds and toilets but are unable provide any catering facilities, including the bar! For those not wanting to picnic I would suggest popping into Hawes).

5. Head out of Hawes to wards Aysgarth, turn off to Thoralby head to Grassington and then finishing in Pateley bridge.

6. Hopefully parking up behind Nidd Valley Motors for ice-creams and pleasant relaxing, those with kids playing in the park.

The full route can be found here.

You haven't seen the well oiled machine of a R7 picnic have you? . There will be a flurry of pop up tables and chairs and before you know it there will be a dining hall (including flower arrangement) before your very eyes. [:D]

Regards,

Neil & Lizzie

I suspect those flowers are gracing the table at one of Sheffield's council tips, but Cath is not admitting they have been disposed of. But maybe I am wrong, we will see on the day

Regards

Should we bring balck tie and candelabra then???

We are not that formal yet, but the policy may change in the future.
We have a bouncer on the door who decides who may come under the awning.
No flip-flops, torn jeans or shorts unless it is above 25C in the shade

Regards

Looks like I'm not allowed under the awning.

However some bad news, indifferent news and good news

Bad news - My new car is in for a new gearbox and won't be ready for Sunday (Who said facelift models were more reliable?)
Indifferent news - I have a Boxter S on loan and will meet you all at Boroughbridge
Good News - I have found my Candelabra and have been instructed to go and buy a R7 style slatted table

Hi David -

Looking forward to adding the canderlabra to the table decorations.

In the words of Oscar Wilde the reports of the death of the flowers are little premature.

Happy motoring

Hi All

I've only had my 911 4s a couple of weeks and only joined PCGB last week but this seems like a great way to introduce my 4 year old to Porsche ownership !

See you there !!

RoyM

Look forward to seeing your new car RoyM and a good way to meet up with the region.

Lets hope the weather holds out and we don't need to bring waders [:(]
