Rutland 2018 - New date! Sunday 18th March

Should be extended to 924/968 too.

That's an opinion that has been raised before, debated and rejected. The concensus has been that having just one meet a year solely for 944s was reasonable. Other Porsches are always welcome to come along, of course, but are politely asked to park separately from the 944s.

944 traffic across most forums is dwindling, it seems short sighted to exclude the 944 in a party frock.

Forums are less relevant than they were for all models, and are not a good indicator of interest. Things have moved onto new platforms like Facebook and others that I am too old-fashioned to follow.

924S's at least.... ;)

I came in a Boxster one year, i don't think I was ostracised.. Would be nice to see a few early cars, last time was mainly S2's and Turbos IIRC. TBH it's not just the cars though, it's a chance to see a few people I've either not seen for a while, or never met in real life..

Well I thought about trundling in the trackday 924S until those earlier posts - I don't want to be ostracised-it was bad enough having the vasectomyšŸ˜”

We could have a "track car corner.."

Hi guys...

I will try to attend..can't confirm till nearer the date and since the heater isn't currently working, very dependent on the weather too...

cheers

Pete

Hi Chaps,

I'll try to be there - Ferdie may actually be back in one piece by then!

Re the earlier "what's the point" comment; it was a far better event when we went to the nearby pub for a meal afterwards...... :)

I agree - maybe we could re-instate that?

I always enjoyed the pub meal afterwards. It was discontinued due to the amount of work involved chasing people for deposits, menu selections etc. etc. If someone is prepared to take that on, I would welcome its return.

It should be 10 feet away from the apex and we all park backwards in gravel for added realism.

Hmmm - I'm almost weakening enough to volunteer... Not sure I could cope with a major event, but maybe we could test the water & see who's interested?

https://www.whitehorserutland.co.uk/ was the usual venue I think?
