That's basically what I've fitted - 3" shoulder, 2" lap, 6-point push button buckle. In theory, to pass an MOT in the UK the belts must be either BS or ECE approved. The Schroth turn buckles are neither, but the push button ones are ECE approved (and FIA approved as well). In practice, most MOT testers don't bother - mine passed half a dozen MOTs with the original belts.ORIGINAL: Hacki The original stuff is old and belongs into the shelf. Replaced mine with 3 inch 6-point Schroth Profi III-asm, which is fine.

seems my memory is not good with the buckles on minty. [] But i think what others have said makes it clear about the legal issues with twist and rotate belts.
Right, and be also careful with the buckles. In case someone has the old original blue buckle, don´t use it. There was a safety warning by Porsche in March 1993 (Porsche reference no. VKGB no / dz) that these buckles broke in accidents, because the bottom was not strong enough. They had to be replaced by black ones. It didn´t take long to have that done. Hi Hacki, Do you know if the the buckles you are referring to are entirely blue or with the blue sticker in the centre of the buckle? Thanks Julian

Schroth are NOT a nice company... this is not the place to go into it but I would ask that the forum doesn't rush to support them if at all possible. Was some issues with their HANS device copy and they just aren't "good chaps". Sabelt on the other hand were the harnesses I had in my own baby seat... many moons ago.
