Scoobie

In case it wasn't clear from my posts in this thead I think you made the right choice [:D].

If you just want reliable wheels I imagine you can't get much better than a Honda like you already have or maybe a Toyota. If you fancy something more Porsche-like in quality for everyday then I thoroughly recommend BMW. I hate the image and that was why I had my driving license for 20 years (all but 3 days) before I bought one, but I have to say I am sold on them for everyday cars now. In fact my hearse makes a 944 feel cheap.

Over 19,000 miles it has had new disks & pads and a rear wiper linkage that it needed when I bought it at about £500 all-in (I chipped the price by £600 to cover them), 1 major service including new brake fluid, coolant and pollen filters at £240, an MoT and new rear air-spring at £220 and I am just about to fit a pair of tyres at £202 to match the other pair I replaced about 5,000 miles ago. I also have interim oil and filter changes at about £50 each though BMW don't ask me to. Only the air spring has failed (and I think that may have been because I was doing donuts in a car park as it suspiciously failed that very day [8D]) - not exactly expensive motoring I think you'll agree.

damn! I was hoping you might take mine off me so that I could trade up to something more respectable, a Kia Pride is looking good at the mo! [:D]
