Some lovely 944's in this thread - I love photos, so great thread choice!

Here are mine..

1988 944 S - Guards Red & light-grey pinstripe interior - standard other than 968 castor mounts & Boxster wheels
This one is in the classifieds at the moment......

1987 944 Turbo - Diamond Blue Metallic & black leather/vinyl interior - M030 suspension, Boxster wheels, aircon and a lovely Becker DTM HighSpeed
Don't look at the panel gaps too closely nor the rear decal, it's seen a little paint in the past, but that will be rectified in the near future...

morning guys...I thought that i'd get in on this thread with the last picture that I took showing the car in full...well no nose panel but that's back on now. Still no engine but that's hopefully only a few weeks away , I picked up the head yesterday, back from having new guides fitted and also skimmed, 6 thou has been taken off so will re-compute head gasket thickness although i'm not overly fussed with a little more compression...it will be an insignificant amount anyway. Anyway this picture was taken (IIRC) about a year ago, had just had a full foam wash, machine polish which she'll get again very soon. I have one last component to send off that I can't do here myself, that being the turbo, needs a full rebuild, new impeller too...quoted around £450 ..we shall see...anymore and I may just wait a little longer for when I can find the money for a new turbo.....

she will be rejoining the 944 ranks soon...next summer for sure...can't wait...:)

944 S2, 230K miles, Lightened, KWv3 with custom springs, 8J ET40 Boxster Wheels, currently waiting for me to get my finger out & finish off the last bits of the engine transplant (stand by for the"why won't it start?" posts [:)])

The impetus to get it finished has been lessened a bit as the 986 is much better than expected on track. It will be done this winter though.

Garage Queen. Need to get some proper pictures taken but have been waiting till all the jobs are finished.

Cheers Rudds, always make an arse of it ! did you notice my parking space number ? hint it was the 50th year of the 911, i did not plan that only noticed it when i saw the picture, wheels needed a good clean.

Hey folks, just a quick question as I can't seem to get my photo links to work.

When I post pics on forums I normally use the IMG link from Photobucket and the pics load up automatically in the thread. I've just tried this in this thread and the pics won't load (just shows the link).....any ideas?

Cheers

this forum wants "image" instead of "img".. like this..

That's confusing as I have always used IMG tags on here, the photos I posted in this thread used
as normal!!??

Thanks both, I'll have another go and see what happens 👍

This is odd.. I have to use "image" on this forum and "img" on others.. If I press the image button (just above the box you type a reply in) it does this:

Put a web address of a picture like this.. http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp261/thesharkfactor/DSC06263.jpg

..in between the image brackets and you get this..

If I put the same web address between
brackets, I get this..

lol.. may bad.. both image and img tags appear to work here.. It wasn't always the case, just a few weeks ago and I couldn't post pics with img tags..
