Thanks Steve, I did try that but to no avail...will try again. No, am still getting ' page cannot be displayed' . Could it be size? My picture is 1.12 Mb

Could it be size? My picture is 1.12 Mb

Oh yes, size is everything !
In this case, far too big (and possibly the wrong format, but I doubt it); I thought that the system gave you an indication of maximum size (it does - 200K). Web sites don' t do too well with large pictures, not if you want ' instant' access.
So, time to get out the software and trim the pic. (or I can do it for you, if needs be - just email it)

Marcus
the maximum size of uploaded picture is 200k; the allowed formats are gif, jpg and jpeg - anything bigger or other format is rejected.
Usually, the simplest way to reduce the size of a picture is to reduce the resolution to 72dpi (anything more is wasted on a computer screen).
Hope this helps [8|]

Soon I will have a decent image of my car but I couldn' t resist this pic!

Looks like it ! Mine reads zero at anything other than total standstill - has caused me a few heart in mouth moments before I remember that it always looks empty ! I had thought that this was entirely normal, now you' ve worried me John ![&:]

Jamie

My SC always looked empty, but, over 6 years, never gave a problem.
My current 3.2 generally shows a level, and climbs to the top when really hot. Still, after 9 years, no problems again.

I' m told that they are notoriously fickle - ask Chelsea Carrera !

John,
Much as I understood it - I' m not unduly concerned, oil use seems well within the acceptable tollerances (I put a litre in every 1000 miles or so). But seemingly regardless of the actual oil level it tends to show zero if the car is moving, rising to a normal reading when I pull up at traffic lights etc.

The more I learn about these cars, the more I realise that every car is entirely individual in its quirks and foibles - no two seem to do the same thing exactly. Part of the attraction I suppose !

I may be wrong but isn' t the oil level guage just that, a guage to check oil level at idle on a level surface and not at full throttle leaving Knockhills hairpin up the steep main straight.
Then again maybe I' m wrong.
Mike

PS I had a look around the steering wheel and the oil press was around 4 bar
