Silverstone 944 track evening *MK2* August 17th

PCGB Member
We had so much fun on the July evening that some of us are going again on August the 17th.

So far the following are confirmed:
A.Wang - S2 track car
Tony (aka 944Turbo) - 944T modified a lot
Steve 944T - modified 944T
Simon Davidson - mutant 944
Peter Empson - 944 Lux (ish)

Possibles may include:
Edh - 944T with shiny new headgasket, oh and some mods
Barks944 - 944 with shiny new front end bits
Diver944 - 944T 3.2 power!
Eastendr - 944S or Wuf and a Canon [;)]

Please give me a shout if you are/aren't going and I'll edit the above accordingly.

I doubt Melindi will give us a discount again this year, but at £139 I think it represents really good value for money anyway. <edited to add £10 off discount now available!>

I've just checked with Melindi and there are a reasonable number of spaces left at the moment, what's more she's extended the £10 off discount which I think is extremely generous!

I'm not sure what will happen to those of you who have booked already, but knowing Melindi she'll sort it all for you. I have an online booking code, so PM for it (don't want to post it here in case it gets abused by non forum members), or place a phone order and mention my name. All 924's, 944's and 968's are welcome and I'm sure we'll let the odd 911 etc join if they ask nicely [;)]

I've also just booked myself a track session with Calum for a fortnights time, hopefully he'll get me out of some of my bad habits [:D]

I think it's just me at the moment [:(] but somehow I think four point something miles of tarmac will make me feel better [:D] Would be great if you could make it along too.

How does this work Pete?

Do you book for all of us (with the hope of getting a club discount), or should we call Melindi individually?

Just call lovely Melindi and mention my name and she'll sort it all out for you. If you prefer to book online I can give you a code for the discount (I've got the details at home so it would be this evening before I could forward them on).

I'd like to do it online - typing things into a browser is one thing, calling TDOs on chargeable time, from my desk at work is something else! [:D]

Hi Simon, I'd say it should be absolutely fine for a beginner, I think it's the safest proper circuit in the country (thanks to F1) and Goldtrack don't pack them out so there's plenty of space for everyone and good behaviour all round.

The only downside is it's quite a long and arguably featureless circuit to learn so some instruction would probably help (which is available quite cheaply from the organisers), the up side is it's on almost every computer game and there's loads of videos on youtube to get an idea of which way round you go [:D]
