Silverstone evenings

Apologies if there's already a thread on this, but I was just wondering which dates people were doing - I know after the last one some of us spoke about doing the 11th of August, but this is looking a bit tight for me to have the white car ready by. The next (and last) is on the 26th of August and I think this is what I'll be aiming for. Anyone else planning on going?

I was planning on doing the 11th, but currently have a puddle of water on the garage floor and have not yet had time to investigate where it is coming from [:(] so better give it a miss. 26th for definite though - see you there!

a gratuitous pic from the other week [:D]

Sorry - will be in US for both dates

have fun, hope you don't get held up by any 911's :)

Hi Peter,

I did Aug 3rd (Bridge GP) and hope to do the evenings remaining for 2010. :)

Regards,
Andrew

I am tempted, I had planned to start stripping my car by now before getting its bodywork attended too but havent even looked at it since I parked it last, and a couple more weeks wouldn't make much difference, need to check the dates with other commitments though,

I'm sure you know what you need to bring with you this time [;)]

Mark - how was the 205?

Really good fun in the bends,I did the whole day with the RMA then the evening with Goldtrack, the little pug will need some new front tyres soon maybe!Andrew had a go it was a real contrast to his muscle car!

Hi Mark,

You're welcome - good to see you. Looking forward to seeing you at the Mallory race on Aug 29th. [:)]

Andrew

I've now booked for the 26th,

I'll try and make it, and provide everyone else with a mobile shickane. Quite keen to give the new 944T Gearbox/LSD a shakedown run..

I went, with camera, caught some of the day session too - seemed quite crowded.
Lots of nice machinery, some damage severe to a TVR, rear corner of full race saloo, and
a968 including thr hatch. Both of these were losing it out of club and hitting the new pit wall.
There are some pics on Photobucket - look for A9XXC or SILVERSTONE 11 08 2010

Hope to be there on the 26th.

Mike

I agree with Alex, some great pics there.
I can't say I'm suprised that the new pit wall has claimed a few cars, just from being a passenger it was clear to see how that corner unsettled many cars and that wall will be like a magnet. I bet in a few year they will redesign it, as it must now be the highest risk part of the track.
