My Cayman is just a fun car and not a daily drive and although I’ve driven a few PDK Caymans and Boxsters I’ve not had any desire to own a car with that transmission. It’s an excellent semi-automatic transmission but I just prefer the additional connection I get with a car having a 3-pedal layout and manual shift. Most probably I would warm to PDK if I owned such a car for an extended period, particularly if I was doing a much higher annual mileage, sometimes in slow-moving commuter traffic.
Only you can decide if a manual transmission will meet your driving needs. It’s a very good gearbox but requires a different level of engagement from the driver compared with PDK, which in itself responds well to spirited driving.

will let you know how it goes
Hope the test drive goes well. Don’t forget to use the clutch!

the test drive went well! Loved the manual gear box… the general interaction with the car was exhilarating as I’ve never driven a fast manual before.
certainly one to think about as I use it as a daily so although yesterday was certainly more pleasing to spiritedly drive through the B roads I have to weigh up if that’s worth the hour in traffic I spend every morning.
it’s better to drive though 100%
It’s a difficult decision for you bearing in mind that the car will be your daily drive, but at least you’ve sampled the manual ’box. Unfortunately only you can decide which type of transmission will best meet your needs.
Decisions, decisions! [

it’s nice to have the silver wheels as they really pop as the colour is quite dark.
really happy with how it’s turned out
