Sorry no pictures as she's currently covered in grime and looks like she's been to Armageddon and back! In reality it was an overnight trip to Wales and back in the ice and slush and never above freezing.

Best part of the trip was an empty Little Chef car park and one huge donut (until the wife told me off for behaving childishly [] )

Am up in a meeting in Knutsford today, came up the M6 but usually like to go home over Winnet's pass and through Castleton, taking in the Cat 'n' Fiddle, etc so was hoping for a great photo opportunity...but hearing the news it sounds like that route is all but impassable, so M6/A14 it is on the way home to Cambs...

Summer tyres + living on top of a steep hill + salty roads means mine will sadly be hibernating until the snow and roads have cleared.

We've had snow up here since the weekend.... Lots of fun...... been out every day in it...... I need to as it's my daily driver.

Mine are tucked away, been playing with the Audi instead, the wheels go out of balance if you spend too long sideways. Amazing amount of traction from the 4wd even with ASR/ESP off, can be easily overcome with a 3.0 TDI and remarkably tail happy even with ESP on, even some tail slip with ASR and ESP on when on the power.

Sadly no photos of the car covered in snow as it lives in a heated garage but that hasn't stopped it from going out to play in the snow though which is very good fun until my wife also tells me to behave! Still I can always ignore her []

Interloping here with a 944 engined [] 924S....on Michelin Alpin snow tyres (and with chains at certain locations) to plough through the North Notts rural snow!

What would I do without a porsche ey?

Love this pic. You can't beat a dirty car - these things are tools and muck is a sign of use! Good to see so many 944's out and about in these conditions. Last year before I sold mine on I went skiing and left the car in an outside car park at Stanstead airport for 5 days during the snowy and cold snap we had that year. Came back to the car covered in half a foot of frozen snow which took me a good 20 mins to dig my way into. But she fired up on the first couple of turns of the engine. Perfect. And to top it all off I drove past an Audi A5 and a Merc E Class wheelspinning and struggling on the sheet ice inclined car park, so these things still have superior traction to modern ESP'd/traction control'd cars! Very satisfying moment.
