I did drive the 44 the day before the snow came.. I must recharge the battery cat alarm is draining it eg not using it..
I did take the Mercedes out in the snow for some sideways action in the car park last year.. was entertaining and a learning curve and free fun!! she's abig car to get sideways but was easy on the ice and very controlable I have to say might have to get her out again.

Here is mine
She wouldn't start due to a flat battery all last week and I didn't have time to sort it out. I got a jump start this morning and took her out for really what was the first long drive I have had since I bought it in October. The Country roads to the North of London have all cleared of snow and she really is handling like a dream.

You are dragging down the values for the few of us who bother to keep our cars mint.
Live fast and die young. Applies to cars as well as rock stars IMO. [&:]

I am old before my time Paul !!
Lol, me too. I always wanted to crash and burn like Hendricks, Joplin or Morrison. I'm now a 44-year-old with creaky knees still struggling to play Smoke On The Water badly. [&o]

Jesus, and you wonder why there are so many crappy rust bucket 944s out there!. Doesn't anyone look after their cars properly?? []
On the plus side, all the rusty sheds will soon be in the scrapheap leaving the very few mint 944s left. Its very sad that the 944 is so badly looked after and not regarded as a classic. You are dragging down the values for the few of us who bother to keep our cars mint. [][:'(]
Cheers Scotty.... It's attitudes like yours that put me off rejoining PCGB when my membership lapsed!!!
IF you want to wrap yours up in cotton wool, your welcome to... but some of us actually enjoy driving our 944 - in all weathers. Cars are meant to be driven. And some of us actually enjoy getting our hands dirty and servicing our own cars too.
Will mine be on the scrapheap soon? Not if I can help it!!!

Here's an extract from one of his posts on another topic...

sadly the reputation and value of good cars is going down the kermit due to all the sheds out there, and this recession means that probably all car values are affected at the moment. What worries me long term is that the reputation of the 944 is just being ruined by all the tatty and poorly maintained ones the often appear, and the 944 is now going the way of the 924. I kept kidding myself that the good ones will survive, all the sheds will go the scrapheap, and one day the cars will be rare, classic and desirable and thus increase in value !!
Anyway, all that matters is I love my car and love driving it, and thats what matters, it's only money after all !
I just dont get how the aircooled 911s keep going up, even though they are inferior cars in so many ways. Doh!
Well, Scotty, my shed won't be going to the scrapheap.... not as long as I own it!!!
