So my interest is growing for a 944

Just thought i'd add a bit to this debate.

I bought an '86 944 turbo earlier this year. I wasn't bothered wether it was a turbo or S2 but what I kept hearing was to judge my buy on condition.

You can debate all you like about spoiler shapes etc. but the reality is that most of these cars are between 15 and 20 years old by now and of the cars that are offered for sale, most have a fairly chequered past.

Nearly all of the oily bits for either are readily available. But original trim and panels are harder to come by.

A decent service record can't be purchased (usually) so, ensure that the car you are looking at has one.

I hadn't driven any Porsche before I got mine but, my god, they are some machine! If you do find a good 944 you will not be disappointed...I promise!

Good luck.[:D]

..............really awful however I bought it to rip out and track the car but still cant as I found it was a really decent car after all

Gotta give you my immediate honest reaction, - nice car.

If pushed, I would also agree nicer in black, but I appreciate the condition, quality, and 80's design intent.
