DATES FOR RING MON 8TH OCT / SPA TUES 9TH /WED 10TH OCT p.s no 1/2days at Ring ..... if u need more info call me on 07720447901 Gordon

Hi Gordon,
called DFDS yesterday and the reduced price ferry crossings appear to be if sailing before 1st Sept, so no good for us. Have you had any revised prices or are they as given some weeks back?
Donald.

All i want is NUMBERS so i can talk to ferry companies ... the more going better the price ... Hull with P&O allways cheaper +times for crossings are also better although Newcastle is shorter drive .... so give me a YES or NO !!!!!!

So far, that seems to be:
Greig M
Gordon + Greig S
Stevie T
Graeme M
Martin R
Barry C
Graeme C (ring only)
Donald + 1
Scott L

The plan that me, gordon, stevie, graeme M, martin, barry are following is:
Sat 6th - Out on Ferry
Sun 7th - Drive to nurburgring
Mon 8th - on track at ring, many many beers in evening (general bragging about track godliness expected)
Tue 9th - leisurely drive to Spa
Wed 10th - on track at Spa, again a few drinkies in evening
Thu 11th - leisurely drive back to ferry
Fri 12th - home

Put me down, car + driver and one for the Ring and one day at Spa.

Any advice on insurance companies that will cover me for both track days? Want to get some quotes asap?

Donald.

SPA Booking for the Wednesday. Gordon has negotiated a wee discount down to £235, call Circuit days on 01302 743827, mention you're part of Gordon Campbell's group.

Let us know when you've booked so we can keep track and make sure no-one slips through the cracks.

Hotel for the Tues/Wed (9/10th) in SPA is http://www.radissonblu.com/palacehotel-spa - book yer own!

Donald,

If your policy expires between now and then you'd be better to try and arrange it with your normal road cover, places like Manning:
http://www.manninguk.com/automotive/porsche-track-day.php

do it, as do Competition Car Insurance..

Donald... myself, Gordon and a few others are with Manning, you will be covered for both Ring and Spa as they are both recognised events... I have just come back Thursday from the Ring (Destination Nurburgring) and trust me those that want to do the Ring, this is the event for you... it's an organised track day, not a tourist day where a lot of cars are not even fit for scrap yard.
For anyone who has never been before, it is worth studying the layout, maybe even playing it on xbox or playstation (only to study the corners, PLEASE NOTE Gaming console is nothing like the real thing)... I'm sure a few of the guys that have been before, would be happy to sit in as passenger for anyone who has not done it.
