You can also consider the Champio wheel from Mono

You can always consider the ClubSport (I may be selling mine TBH):

Here is a thread on Rennlist discussing and showing the various Momo wheels on 944s:

The Monte Carlo is a little red and this is why its still as-new and virtually unused. I fitted it into my series one trackday car but had to remove it because I found myself driving fat too quickly everywhere!

I have a red suede (competition) one too, which is even redder and probably even less likely to be fitted, unless I start hillclimbing again. It is pretty though.

Thanx for the reply,s, i dont like the "shaped" rim on the later momo wheels, i kinda like them to be the same shape and diamater all the way around the rim. I have a momo tuner on my mazda, thats not to bad but i fancy something a bit more subtle for my 944.
I like the clubsport wheel, but i doubt i could afford one of those. . . . .
Dave

I prefer the CS wheel. I have one in my car, although some people feel the rim is too thick and would go with a prototipo, which is my second favorite wheel.

IMHO the Club Sport is the one to have. It is the only one that looks like it was meant to be there (if you exclude the original which does look dated).

How?
Not sure, it was on there when i bought the car. I did change the horn button from a momo one to the porsche one but all went in same way it came apart. Actually thinking about it, i think i battled to get the shroud over the new horn plastic collar so i just put the new innards in. I'd offer to take it apart again to see but the hex head screws were close to stripping when I put it back together last time.

Simon, have you got a steering wheel fetish [:D] i have a wheel fetish and i am not ashamed to come out [:D]
i have CS on both my cars but i could live with the Momo shown.

A collection Jim. I had a 968 CS wheel too, which I wish I still owned. I sold it though the Trading Post in 2001 for something silly like £200 for a virtually new wheel - removed when the car was only a few months old and replaced with a Monte Carlo.

I have five of six lozenges too, although a couple are for 911/928 as well as some MX-5 Momos. I love buying and hate selling... [:D]

Simon, a garage full of various 944 wheel sets, early or late offset sir ? still find myself surfing the well known internet auction site looking at them, nearly bought a full car just for the wheels (Fuchs) with a view to moving the car on after fitting another set of wheels and a tidy up, must see someone about this, there must be a cure out there ? [:(]

No cure. The 911/928 wheels are steering wheels. I have five or six lozenge wheels, but they arent all for 944s. Thinking of the Fuchs wheels that I have sold makes me want to cry, until I remember the F Series 911s that I sold for fractions of their values now and then I actually do cry!

I have a set of D90s, 16" Boxsters, '93 Design 993 Cups, three piece Compomotives in 17" Cup sizes, '87> 15" ATS telephone dials, ATS cookie cutters and a set of '86 15" telephone dials.

It attaches with 3 snap fits but be careful, they break pretty easily. I always found it easier to grab either side and pull it towards you totally flat.

The nut underneath is deeply recessed too, make sure you've got a long enough wrench adapter. Also leave the nut on a bit when you pull the wheel off its splines so you don't twat yourself in the face with the wheel!

You're not going to kill yourself if you don't isolate the battery but it's best practice with anything mechanical. For the sake of 2 seconds with a 10mm spanner I would.

The above really.

Removing the battery IMO is not necessary (I have not when I have removed wheels (bar wheels with airbags in of course!)) but it is possibly little safer.
