Steve WOng Chip

Chris - thanks for letting us know. Should still have the minimum three though!

Alpole - can you make sure Steve is aware that you are participating in the group buy? Thanks.

Chris,
I have had an email back from Steve Wong confirming discount once the numbers have been achieved. Thanks for prompting the group buy.

Regards
Alan Pole

Personally I went with the custom chip - search the posts here under my username for details.

I went to Weltmeister for a pre dyno, sent the AFR by e-mail, and had the chip in no time.

Tip - fully raise the electric seat to ease access to the DME (ask how I know !!!).

Good luck and lets have some before and after dyno prints.

Guys

Can you contact Steve Wong directly so that he can process your order.

Alan - understand you already have. Thanks [:)]

I've given the other guys details as per e-mails I have received directly: Mike Wood & Nigel Peckham

Mike, Nigel - Steve will wait for you to contact him directly to place your order. Once all complete he will process all four.

I'd appreciate it if you could contact him soon (eager to get my chip [;)]) Thanks.

Hi Mike

Thanks for your update - Steve should, I think, have all our orders so should ship soon!

I'd be interested to hear what we all think. I'm hoping to get mine in time for the trip to Le Mans.

Hi Alan

I've given Steve my payment details. Here's the latest from him this morning:

'So far the minimum has been met, so the group buy is valid - will await
Nigel's order.'

I need to provide Steve with some additional details of my ecu, but as Steve's got the min of 3 orders this shouldn't hold up anything. I'm aiming to email Steve when I get hole and can get what he needs off the car.

Got home from work to an email from Steve and have sent him all the details he needs.
I await receipt of the chip and will post results.

Alan

No meant my chip sorry to mislead you.
I have installed it and it took about 40minutes once I had removed front seat.
Just got back from a test drive and the car feels alive. Just keeps pulling. Great investment.

Mike,
I have some Recaro Pole position seats and it is not possible to slide the runners far enough back so unbolting the seat was the only option.
Once the motronic unit is removed the instructions are very good and the most difficult task was undoing the little tabs which can only be likened to the tabs you get on the back of a picture frame. They are a little fragile so be careful not to bend them to far back.
Have filled up with optimax today and can honestly say the car feels so much more willing, should have bought one 2 years ago.
I also changed the fuel setting and this was easily done by using a small screw driver in the triangular slot.
Should you need to email me please feel free to do so on my link in the members area.
Regards

Alan

I installed a Steve Wong chip with a free flow filter and Dansk Sports exhaust.. The combination of all three elements is awesome - I'm naturally sceptical about these things, but I'm so happy with the setup now. You could pay three or four times as much for a chip as good as this.

Yes , I got the guy who looks after my car Chris at GCR in Leicester to chech this out and all was well.
The main benefit from the chip seems to be it eagerness to rev in all gears wheras before it felt a bit flat. I am going on the impact bumpers dyno day on the 16th sept so will report the actual increase in HP.
