ORIGINAL: CLIFFWILKINS The 3.4 has gone up by £1,503 without ticking any optional extras
Bi Xenon's now standard on the S, as are 19" wheels .. both options on 987 about £2k

Looks a good deal. They are adding more goodies to the base models soon we wont have to tick any boxes. Who am I kidding [:D][:D] Standards and levels are progressing all the time which is only good news for us. Would be good to see wind deflectors as standard too.

£477 is for the dynamic turning bit, which remains optional .. basic Xenons is standard on the S. Floor mats are a compulsory option which does not increase the base price ..

Who knows Daro. There might not be a 981 Spyder. I hope there is. Similar to the 911 Speedster, it might not be a constant member of the model line-up...

ORIGINAL: gouldian Cannot find a "sports exhaust" option, any reason why not?
Certainly not fitted as standard kit [:D] and as it can be turned on and off certainly should be on a sports car like a Porsche It's not like it is in your face even when turned on. Porsche could hide it in the list price and therefore make even more money on every unit sold []

PSE is not available on the initial UK cars. (It is in Germany)

Spoke to Porsche yesterday. Sports exhaust will be available from June onwards it seems. Have spoken twice to Porsche re number of Spyders imported into UK and a fortnight later they don't seem to know, still waiting for reply. Quite a number of high spec Spyders at Dealers now. My spec on 981 is about £49000 with SPE. High spec Spyders low 40's. Tricky one, as I think Spyder still a better looking car than new Boxster.
