The 981 Is Out In Public Domain

ORIGINAL: gouldian Tricky one, as I think Spyder still a better looking car than new Boxster.
I think it's a question of value for money too and with Spyder prices being on the sea bed it must all come down to a back to back test drive. I am sure overall the all new 981 will be the winner but by how much of a margin and how long before 981 prices go south in these recessionary times! [] If you ever get those Spyder numbers please can you post it up as to date I have failed [&:]

Daro - Obtained the Spyder numbers from Porsche today. 235 imported in total with 209 in 2011 and 26 in 2012. A pretty rare motor. Spoke to a fella who took delivery of a solid black one on Saturday (not yet a Club member) and hope to meet up to see what it's like as all my cars (14) have been black!! I am not a drain on the National Health as I keep fit cleaning them! Are you going to the Boxster Paragon meeting at the end of March?

David thanks so much for obtaining the figures for presumably MY 2011 & 12 It's a fair amount when you consider just 65 1989 Speedsters and 13 94 Speedsters made it here[;)]   Not sure about Paraogon just yet as it's a long slow haul from London [&o]

From dspyda.com Production for the Boxster Spyder has come to an end. Assembly for the Spyder was active February 2010 through July 2011. Final production numbers have yet to be released, but numbers are estimated below 2,000 globally. So if you want a Spyder, your local dealer’s lot is your best bet. Porsche will soon be prepping the factory for the new 981 Boxster model which is expected to debut at the LA Auto Show this Fall after the introduction of the 991-911 at this years IAA (Frankfurt) show. Both of which will start deliveries Spring of 2012. The 987 Cayman will continue in production until the 981 version debuts. Looking at your figures I think 2010 cars probably MY11 were included in your 2011 figures and as a worldwide percentage figure the UK took more than its fair share [8D]
