Interesting to see the variation of transmission losses across the cars. 70 bhp on the 997 being the highest was a surprise with it being the newest. Also shows that extracting extra ponies from a 964 is an expensive business, I think Marks car also has special cams & heads along with motec and 3.8 conversion.
Yellow boy is now sorned for the winter, will be in Elsie, the blue drop head winter kit car-alike? Really impressed with the results of SteveH's cup car...impressed to the point of being a bit scared...no wonder he said it was a challenge on track! Transmission losses are normally an algorhythm from the original reading, 997 possibly had the biggest tyres resulting in the most drag/friction.....it's often not quite as scientific as we might expect?ORIGINAL: ras62 Interesting to see the variation of transmission losses across the cars. 70 bhp on the 997 being the highest was a surprise with it being the newest. Steve's Cup Car has recently had a more restrictive standard exhaust, allowing 103db for track days, what it would have run with the race set up who knows!ORIGINAL: clubsportYellow boy is now sorned for the winter, will be in Elsie, the blue drop head winter kit car-alike? Very sad indeed ...... particularly Modified and Turbo Registers .... maybe he will reopen somewhere, we had such a great Dyno Day, could not have gone better, a pre-season clinic to be announced and a return to the dyno, not to mention great (temporary I hope) loss to the the Gruppe R boys and alike, who will build those group C engines now?ORIGINAL: jason Bob Watson Engineering has ceased trading and the RR has been sold. Sad Day
