Just popping in to email. I have finally safely picked it up and she is tucked away safe in the drive with the keys under my pillow so as correctly guessed in the end by many and early on by one man. The car I bought was WUF Rick's big red turbo.
First impressions are its going to take a long time to get used to driving something like this and its a totally different ball game to anything I've owned before. My first impressions driving around town and at sub 5k rpm even at full throttle was its definitely better, more responsive and smoother than a standard car everywhere (probably mainly to do with the lack of restriction from the original barn door sensor) but a long long way off the 3.2 for mid range grunt and throttle response. Honestly it feels no where near as quick as my old car, and in a real world race I'd question hard how it would fair. I was actually feeling a little disappointed with its grunt until I finally decided to drop it into second and give it a 'careful' bootfull out of a roundabout onto a duel carrigeway. OMFG I have never in my life experienced power delivery like than and my neck muscles are KILLING me still. For anyone who's expereinced Rita at Alton towers I can tell you the launch is smooth in comparison to the way WUF takes off when she hits full boost.
Like I said I'd question how quick it'd be in a real world race situation but whilst those huge fat rears keep traction, keep it on boost and whip it through a few gears. It'll put a smile on your face like no other car and I'd question what you would need to keep up with it. I have certainly never felt a delivery like that before in any car I've known.. feels like it pulls about 3g's. It's been built for fun this car not racing and boy does it deliver on that front. Plus as the driver of the car following me confirmed, it certainly does spit some impressive flames when you throttle off[
