This section is a proper dead zone Where is everyone ?

No idea about the mobile phone option number. It could have been an aftermarket company install.
If you have a fuel leak I guess you may have disturbed an injector seal or something.

I also have the brick phone but not the aerial...I wonder if i can get the aerial and get the phone working.

can you smell fuel from the engine bay??? be careful not to drive her if you do cause you could end up in a ball of smoke. have it checked out.

All I can find regarding mobile phone codes is this one: 195 - prepared for cellular telephone.
As for the fuel leak I agree check the injector seals and all fuel lines in the engine bay.
If it is an injector seal there will usually be fuel building up in the v of the engine.
Hope this helps.

I like your blue 928. very nice colour. is that an original colour or respray???? never seen that colour before.

by the way see what a little negative push does......it brings out all us 928 ers. so far this is the longest thread i've seen. Keep posting

who is the technical guy to talk to regarding 928's????

According to the paint code it is Diamond Blue Metallic, which is a special order colour.
Three previous owners, the last brought it in 1998 with around 32,000 miles and I got it from him earlier this year with 68,000 miles.
He has kept every single receipt and item and it even has the valet key. He also had the gearbox and PSD overhauled trying to cure a funny noise which turned out to be nothing to do with either. The car mechanically was 100% just needed a bit paint work which was done when Dr. A had it.
I am really happy with it as everything except the tyre pressure system works. Ice cold a/c and working cruise control.
On my first 928 it was easier to list what didn't work!

hehe
i have heated seat, electric memory seats, tyre pressure monitoring system (which i have disables due to the alloys i have fitted), sunroof, heated side mirrors. stereo is sh#t but who needs one when you have a wife [:D].......nevertheless I'm loving it.[:)]

one idea I've been toying with is turning the interior lights to a blue colour??? my brother thinks i should keep it original[8|]

LED lights you can get from ebay, but I think they can be a bit too bright sometimes from above. I might try one or two festoon type for the door lights and see. Something like these...

yah your probably right...i'll stick to the white but i think i will upgrade the bulbs to led where possible. I also have to change the bulbs behind the dash. some of them have blown. that's a job and a half

i liked the idea of a blue interior[:(] i was going to find a way to put an led strip under the door sill where the 928 numbering will light up when you open the door

Don't be persuaded by anyone. Do what you want, its your car after all !
I live out in the dark sticks and I need all the light I can get in the car as the street lighting is rubbish.

yah i think once ive finished fixing the sunroof and air con. then these are 3rd in line. I'm going to do it[:)]
