Great to see everyone yesterday. Huge thanks to Adrian for the laps in RS and on behalf of my mate thanks John for the ride in the GT3RS.

Hi Guys. Wow what a day 145 mph (indicated) in my old sc []certainly kept me awake and suddenly after that my radio and oil level gauge which never worked have all of a sudden sprung in to life!! Thanks to John and Adrian for the powersliding and joyriding impressions, they will stick with me for a long time. Anyway it was great to meet you all and will hopefully bump into you in the future. Dan.

So, what did I miss?

Dan -I always maintain they go better for a good thrashing [;)]

Your not wrong. Usually it is is kept in the garage and bought out at the weekend. Got back late last night left her outside as could not be bothered driving five mins round the corner to my mum's where i keep the car garaged and polished. Came out this morning car had high velocity mud streaks and generally covered in shit and a few stone chips and i thought wow that looks awsome!!! It was a great day you can't say better than having the whole of Bruntingthorpe between about six of us with what seemed like no restriction. Ps it was great to see people enjoying the cars for what they intended for and i now vow to stop being anal and enjoy my car[:)]

Mel

From what I know of you on the forum I think you might have enjoyed it.

Basically, people from the magazine took a few photo's during the day and then Bruntingthorpe was ours to play with as and when.

Couple of people (namely John (GT3RS) and Adrian (964RS - I so want his car!) doing the council estate bit and driving like they were nicked.

Me - This was the first time my car has been totally flat out and completed a 360 degree spin at 70mph. I have really got to get a few trackdays cause after Wednesday I was giggling like a kid on smarties.

The pro driver that took me out in my car shown me what it was really capable of and the car sounded sweet whilst doing it.

You didnt miss much.
My boring day included a 192mph (and still pulling well!!!) top speed run, followed by some very quick laps with a proffessional driver at the helm.(wow!!)and we ended in the wet with some powersliding.
Pretty much the norm[;)][;)]

Oh well, I 'm glad I stayed at home with me pills and potions....[]
And well done Adrian for taking the epitomy of the 911 for everyone to see!

totally agree Mel, Adrian's car is the dogs.
Majority of people said that would be the car they would take away.
Now trying to make the wifey think that downgrading to a small one bed flat would be a good idea, so I can have one!![:D]

Rob,
I think the 964RS is fabulous and is very raw. I knew once you had been in with Adrian driving, you would be sold on one.
Definately sell everything including the kids to own one.
What says you Mel?

Regards

John

John - Didn't actually go out with Adrian, this being my first Porsche gathering, a felt a bit cheeky asking for a ride in everyone's cars. But just watching it go round made me want it.

Sorry Rob, I thought Adrian had taken you out.
You should have just asked either of us and we would have been only to pleased to give both you and other enthusiasts a lift around.
Next time don't hesitate.

John

That 964 rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually thinking if the missus and me could live in a small card board box.

When are John and Adrian out to play again? When they are could you knock on.

Getting into my SC felt like getting into an old beetle after seeing the other cars.

Rob i fell in love with your 964. Thanks for the drive, it could be an expensive year for me[:)]
