Track Evening, 16th July -- Bruntingthorpe, Leics

Thanks for the offer Paul, but I think food and drive back late will be better than fighting with the Saturday traffic.
Cheers,
Tony

Noise 97.5 dB & no fuel on site.
Passenger fees only £10, so come on down !! (use my name on the security gate if you are just coming to watch).

paul follett

Only 97.5 dB ? I'll have to park near Leicester [:D][:D]

Definately making a break for it tomorrow midday. I'll drive up nice and slowly ...

Bringing cameras and possibly road dyno.

BKE in for service, MOT, fitting Lambda, oil change, plugs etc. He should be available by mid day so I just have to steal myself to see if there are any places left.

If not I might come an sulk on the side lines any way.

Hurrah [:D] I'm sure Melindi will be able to squeeze you in.

All sulkers are welcome and I am busy today trying to find somewhere to eat/drink in Lutterworth afterwards for the post track analysis [:)]

Excellent, see you all there,
I might even have some in car video today as well - we can review it over food if it works.
Cheers,
Tony

Good news, bad news:-

Good News - spaces still available [:)]

Bad News - BKE not finished yet. Because of lower oil pressure following his rolling road thrashing we are replacing the oil pressure sender, just incase we fried it. It ain't arrived yet.[:(]

Good News & Bad News - Just spoken to BKE's doctors. Apparently specialist gave BKE a bit of a boost when going to MOT station and BKE hurt his neck. Not a bad result when you suprise someone who drives Porsches all day - even the ones with the engine in the back.

Bad News - Couldn't get bung out of exhaust so no Lambda yet. Apparently exhaust was heated up to such a degree that the allen key melted but the bung still wouldn't come out though.

Two hours to knocking-off time [:D][:D]

Come on, John. Get that sensor in. Or ---- Shall we take the landie & rangie ... The 944's will thrash us on the tarmac, but over the embankments ...[:D][:D]

We would get a damn good view from on top of Fifi (Belinda's Landie). It's about the only chance I'll get now of getting on top of a Fifi.

Still got my fingers crossed but as time ticks by the thought of Friday evening traffic is making things more doubtful. [:(]

Food situation is looking good. I have received a few recommendations (on other internet forums) including a very nice Thai place nearby. I have my new camcorder with me too (for outside shots of Tony), but no bulletcam connected as yet (for inside shots from LIL ...)

Well it's dry and sunny here in warwick, which is 30 miles away, and last forecast I saw was 'brightening'

I've got my brolley packed tho

Sulking of Hockley

944/ 968 Attendees:

944Turbo (Tony)
Eastendr (Rick)
LegalEagle (Paul)
Stephen (Marillion)
James S (Pistonheads)
Callum Lockie (Goldtrack)
myself [;)]

Just spent the morning sprucing LIL up for Walton Hall and now I'm going to attend to the 'one or two' extra stonechips that seem to have appeared from somewere [:)]

I think I took about 400 pictures last night.

I've still got to do the R11 barbeque and tomorrow's TIPEC pictures, so upload probably won't appear before late next week ....

Brilliant night at Bruntingthorp. The best action was in the car park after the last official laps.

You had to be there to see it [:D][:D][:D]

Very fast in places, I don't remember a 120mph corner on any of the other circuits I have been on so far and lots and lots of run off in most places, I felt confident enough to get the car 'moving around' on the slicks through the slower sections ( thinking about it now though these were third gear so cant have been that slow [;)]).
It was stony though along the straight, I seem to have collected a complete set of stonechips as well as breaking a clear indicator lense [:(] I also wore a slick to the canvas in some patches on the edge.
I have lots of incar video to sort through and edit & pulse rate has returned to normal after the ginetta 'pit entry'

Tony

If they solved the stone problem definately, as it is, maybe, I haven't cleaned my car yet so dont know how bad it is under the flies.
