This IS a FULL on Porsche day, Fab if your a die hard Porsche aficianardo .Lots of exotica usually there, both on track + lurking in the paddock....usually a realy good day if a bit cold.....Then it is March....
Im booked on.
So those that want to go, get in fast as it usually sells out WAY before the end...
PS, dont be put off by some of the "bullies" in there RS,s... They cant all drive fast......[;)][;)][;)][;)][:D][:D][:D][:D].
Even if you dont want to go out on track, its usually a great day for a 968 / 944 meet.....But bring a wooly hat.....[;)][;)]

Sounds great.. don't think i'll be doing the racing, but will certainly be there to put some faces to the names on here! Might even bring my helmet along.. see if i can scrounge a ride [:)] Mike [;)]

I'd imagine this would be brilliant; Oulton is a lot of fun based on the one time I drove it, and that was mid-October so don't let the potential weather put you off. Is it the full circuit?

Oh its the full circuit alright Fen...[:D][:D][:D] "Fast lap rides" are always available, i just hope you have a good stomach, as "we" can get a tad competetive at times...Last of the late breakers etc,.....[;)][;)][;)][:D][:D][:D]

I've wanted to go to the last few of these days but have always had car troubles so haven't made it. Fingers crossed that on this one there'll be some places left by the time I know my car will be ready.

Pete. If you leave it much longer i will guarentee itl be sold out... It goes very fast indeed... It could be worth booking, just in case, as there are usually a few people who are on the resurve list wanting places....[;)][;)]

[:)] Booked! Well I've got a lot of catching up to do after missing out this year, even if it is quite a tight deadline to have the car ready by then [8|] I think I'll need to stay over the night before, can anyone recommend a good local B&B?

Trackaction have sorted it out. Its £150 or if your a member of trackaction its £120. A good mix of cars going. Last of the year!! [link=http://www.trackaction-online.co.uk]www.trackaction-online.co.uk[/link]

Cheers Tom. There a good bunch of lads the tracaction boys. Ive done a few days with them..... I might be tempted.....[:D][:D][:D]

Peter Look here for hotels etc near Oulton: [link=http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/oulton-park/circuits/oulton-park.asp]http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/oulton-park/circuits/oulton-park.asp[/link] I stayed at the Alvanley Arms, very close to the circuit and it is a good honest pub with decent food and a large car park for trailers etc. Might stopover myself - your round or mine? NB I see that the day is now fully booked and by the looks of it there will only be 5 frontrunners -- we will have our work cut out with all the other exotica! paul f

Is that the one with the biggish car park that's a couple of miles from the entrance? I think it's a bit further on past the Shell, on the left? If so I second the recommend. My only criticism is that because it's so close the car is nowhere near warmed through when you get to the paddock.

Pub! Food! Sounds really good to me [:D], think I'll probably book the Thursday and Friday if I do as I'm not sure I fancy the journey home straight after. Need to wait to see if my car will be ready by then before booking though [&:]

Yes folks its now booked solid...With resurves.... I think a few of us are getting together the night before , for a beer + some eats. Or poss after for a post day de-brief....[;)][;)][;)],,Pete your welcome to join in...

Nice one, another good reason to make sure I have a car ready in time! [:D]

Can I suggest that we go out on the Friday night -- don't really want too many bevvies beforehand on the Thurs AND we'll also then have much more to talk about! Dave, if we did it Fri night whereabouts would you propose? If Peter and I stop in The Alvanley Arms near the circuit -- might that be a possibility? Peter -- get spannering!!!! definitely need your advanced driving skills on show in 'our team'. There appears to be only 5 frontrunners booked. paul f

I'll be there is a spectating/socialising capacity - last year's was a great day but I couldn't quite summon up the courage to mix it on track with those RS 'nutters'....! The 'nutter' comment being meant respectfully, I hasten to add!!!

Only one more room available at the Alvanley Arms after I have just booked, Saints Cottage B&B up the road near the Murco petrol station is also a good alternative. Have made a prov booking for an evening meal at the AA at 6pm-ish on Friday for 8 people. see: [link=http://www.alvanleyarms.co.uk/]http://www.alvanleyarms.co.uk/[/link] If we go elsewhere I can always cancel this. Nick - was that you parked up on the spectator area near Druids last March? If so, wonderered who it was - thought it was Stu but wrong Reg. paul f
