Transaxles at Goodwood 5th August

Anyone heading down from the North? I'll be coming from Farnham and could meet at Midhurst/Petworh area if anyone coming from the East is planning to stop around there?
 
Not planning to stop around there, but there will be a few FE's passing through Midhurst/Petworth as the A272 is a favourite road to Goodwood from the SE/Essex.

we are meeting up at Brentwood Shell at 8am for a wagon train convoy of 968's

I have no idea why you would need to be a member of PCGB, the event is hosted by brighton and hove motor club and there just happens to be a round of the PCGB Speed championship on too

we have been raiding the venue for the last 3 years SO JUST TURN UP!!!!!!

Currently the planned route is round the 25 to the M23 then we will meet up with some more 968's one of which is a turbo, I have a sneaking suspicion that Mike may have a route planned for us that's not across the A272....

I need to speak to Him!!!

Was hoping to make it (as with the Weymouth Prom event) but will be away! Should be a good day out.
It means I still wont meet Oli - who must be one of the longest term forum contributors who I haven't met (and one of the closer ones) - in fact I believe it may have been a certain Mr Sims who once commented we might be the same person as we never showed up at the same events!

Thanks - that sounds like a fine convoy to be a part of! Sadly it's not that convenient for me as I'll be going down on the A2 to join the M25 just south of the Dartford Crossing so I'll pass up your very kind invite. However have a good trip and I'll see you there!

Tony - you are very kind! Alas, it sounds like we will have to cross paths in person some other time but I'll look forward to that day!

well if you time it right and wait on the slip ramp or close by or even clackette lane services you can still join it,
 
Probably, and that is a good idea. Do you want to me me know an ETD from Clackett Lane and I may manage it.

(Of course if there were some Turbos in your party then I could wait for you to pass and then have another cup of coffee to allow them a decent lead before catching them up - I do have an S2 after all!) [:)]

Actually, scrub that - I'd probably need to have a full English plus a stroll in the countryside if I was to give the turbo boys a fair lead ....

 
So, will you boys be calling in to Pease Pottage services on the M23 on your way to the "968uk Get Together" at Goodwood?
If so, what time so I can perhaps meet you there before hitting the A272. [8D]
 
Unfortunately my 944 will not quite be complete so I will not be attending, starting to look good though.

I hope that you all have a good time!!!

Pete, have a look on the 968uk thread, Mike has just posted v1 of his "more interesting" route - and I've suggested he does not include arriving via the racecourse as it's Glorious Goodwood - and the queues for the racecourse car parks are horrendous (as I found out 2 years ago!), better to approach the motor racing circuit entrance from the east.
 
Hi All

I am traveling from Kent, I am told to avoid Goodwood Race course, any tips on best route, Was thinking of stopping Pease Pottage services for a Morning Coffee.
