Turbo Cup Badge

As you know I like to mess around with different things and after looking at different 944 Silver Rose cars around the world I liked the French idea (that's a first liking something French [:D] ) of their 944's being called Cup cars.

I decided to try and replicate one of their cars so have had made a limited run of Red 3mm acrylic Cup badges to go on the back of my car.

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on this good and bad [;)]

The decal looks beautifully made but it's a no for me. I just love the word "turbo" there sitting on it's own. A badge of honour and a wee warning to any of the souped up shopping trolly brigade not to mess!

I think you run the risk of making your car to the uneducated look like a bog standard affair with a badge stuck on the back. Not good!

It's a 'no' from me Martin even though I quite like the colour and font.

I guess I am just having difficulty getting used to it. It could grow on me though....

If you like it and it's a replica from the French series then I could live with it no problem. Why not upload a couple of actual car photos?

It woudldn't be "original" I know, but how about the word "Cup" being in black instead of red. And maybe then loose the word "turbo" as well. I think I'd like it if it just said "Cup".

This was a different one, but not officially done by Porsche

how about the turbo on the left (of the car) and the cup on the right, can anyone photo shop it quickly?

Cup was the French concessionaire's rename of the Turbo S, wasn't it? I prefer the C pillar badges in laurels. When Turbo script badges cost a tenner you could play about, but since Porsche more than tripled their price Im reluctant to mess with mine.

Martin, I like the idea....but not the look yet. The C pillar laurels, would that be the best approach? Then again, if it was the French market approach there is a genuine-ness to it. Dunno.

How was the real car badged?

If you mean the Silver Rose then in the UK and Germany it had a black Turbo badge, in France it had it as I have added with the Cup badge in red.

Martin, "Cup" in laurels ala the original for the rear quarter B pillar would be cool, these were stickers and not badges as such.

Personal taste Jim, I didn't like the laurels and prefer the Cup badge, but we are all different [;)]

Thought the Cup Laurel decal on the rear 1/4 was just something someone made and not official decal as such ?
