Turbo developments ...

The black S I saw today was new out of the box... great spec but not anything like what is on offer for Matt, they showed me a book price of it at £129k and offered it to me at £129K [&:] the trade in on mine was good (so possibly the discount) but the interior colour wasn't what I was after.

The drive to the NEC this afternoon for the Classic made me wonder why I was even looking!![8D] so warranty renewal hopefully next week.

Matt , we need photos before you go away!!! [;)]

In for my free car wash today and sitting next to me in the showroom is a new black Turbo S - priced at 125k. Doesn't have 2 tone interior and has puddles instead of paddles on the steering wheel :( Good luck selling that!

Congratulations Matt

Take a bit of time to get used to it (remember that overtaking manoevre on your test drive) and then you will really have some fun.

Thanks everyone: can't wait! Might not be the 21st now as I have to wait for the transfer to complete, but you never know...

She'll love it - but she won't be able to tell you until she gets her breath back (firstly from the cost and then from the performance)!

Matt
The Cambridge car is basically a new car, and £14k off list, sounds a deal to me. Don't forget the 991TT is quite a while away and the OPCs will continue to sell the current model for some time to come. Congrats on the purchase, l'm jealous...

Well done Matt, looks fantastic. Now that interminable wait until you pick it up![;)] Will look particularly good next to the red one at Christmas.[:D]

Well done Matt you will love it ! See what a weekend with us does !!
You've got me looking now, even though there is nothing wrong with mine it looks fantastic and goes really well this seekms to happen when I've had a car for 2yrs - Now GT3 or Gen2 Turbo or save the cash ?

Good Job Matt, twas a no brainer deal really, wasn't it! Did you manage to factor in a session at PEC Silverstone with the deal- would be an opportunity perhaps to get Paula behind the wheel?
Geoff-You must get a test drive in a GT3. Had a brilliant time on track at Oulton Park last Wednesday.[:D] My instructor recons its the best circuit in the country, with its swooping bends, blind crests, chichanes, etc. I'm now joining the queue for some new corsas though.[>:]
Sad to say my car is now in bits at the dealership-Have had a small oil leak for a while now from the rear of the engine, and took it in on Thursday. The gearbox is now out and it's not the RMS,the leak is from the top of the engine somewhere, so that is coming out next. I'll report more in due course into Gary's reliability section, meanwhile I've been cruising in the Cotswolds for the weekend in a Boxster with the roof down! Michele wasn't best pleased, but no bother with my hair.[8D]
Regards, Mike.

Yes, I've got a half day at Silverstone as part of the deal. I've offered to take her there before to get her used to the capability of the car(s), but she's not interested.[&:]

Jo wasn't interested until she saw it all at one of the events, now she's very much interested as long as it's not in my car... she thinks I'd complain if she crashed mine [&:] [:D]
Tell her she needs to do it..!

I think it helps the passenger understand the car even more, so less problems when they are out with you, I've said it before that when abroad the passenger calls the safe on passing traffic- so a major benefit all round [:)]

Matt / Gary
When I purchased my current Turbo I got an extra drive at Silverstone for my wife thinking it would help her as a passenger (you know what she is like ).
On the day she was very apprehensive but on completion of the driving which including everything, road work, kick plate , ice hill and the circuit , she got out of the car grinning from ear to ear, thought I'd cracked it.
No!, that road across from Bala really upset her, prhaps it's my driving ?.

We have now sorted how to work the weekends so they are pleasurable for both of us.

Steve

great choice in car Matt, fantastic fun.
