Turbo developments ...

Well, with perfect timing - i.e 2 hours before my flight to the US - the whole deal has gone t*ts up. Turns out OPC Cambridge mis-quoted me ... long story but basically they've made a complete pigs ear of it and I've just had my deposit back. Severely ****** off!!! So, the search resumes when I get back from the US.

Bloody hell, what a let down, wouldn't they stand by there quote ?. Not good advertising for them.
Steve

Nope; business manager had said one thing, sales guy said another. I can find the words to describe how I'm feeling, but I think the filter might take them out of my post.

I would have insisted they stood by the deal. After all, they had taken your deposit. If you had any paperwork that showed the deal and your deposit against that I would argue that was a contract and they are stuffed..........

it's not the price of the car that's in dispute - just the financial side of things. I was financing a chunk of it and they've ****** that part of it up.

I know it's stating the bl**ding obvious Matt but can't you source the finance part from elsewhere then? Or were they offering such a (fictitiously) low rate that can't be matched anywhere else? A real bummer.[:(]

Nothing else comes close atm; it seemed like too good a deal to be true at the time, which is why I signed up for it! Well, you know what they say about deals that seem to good to be true, don't you?

Oops, then I would appeal to their better nature (unlikely that they will have one though) and tell them how much you will dis them when you meet other Porsche owners. If that doesn't work, is the other car you were looking at still available?

I was once crossed by the business manager on the purchase of this car....
Sales said one thing and the BM said another, to the point he said come and collect you're old car car back if you don' like it..!(this being 2 days after I'd traded it in to them)

Oddly they seem to of forgotten this whilst trying to sell me another car [&:] I haven't though.

Really gutted for you Matt, are they going to hold the car- it is a deal and then give you time to sort your own side of the finance out, I know in the old days that was the only way to get a deal from an OPC- batter them in the finance rates!

Sorry to hear of that Matt
On the brighter side you are in las vegas and there will be others
waiting for you,Winter is upon us so there really is no rush

I spent most of my money in Vegas on gambling, booze and loose women, the rest I just squandered. [8|]

Have fun. [;)]

Regards,

Clive.
